Hello Folks,It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone to our 12th Annual Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Sale to be held in Moose Jaw once again in 2012.

At the time that I write this, we are just getting through a few issues with the XL plant closure. Even with this speed bump for our industry, the calf run is heating up with calves selling at or above values of last fall. Yes it is a good time to be the cattle business again and yes it has been a bit more of a wait than we all wanted.

2012 is also a special year for our breed as we celebrate 40 years of Gelbvieh cattle in Canada. We look forward to some extra excitement and ceremonies at Agribition this year due to our 40th anniversary and plan for the party to continue through the 8th of December.

Our PGA event continues to be the longest running Gelbvieh female sale in Canada. We feel that our offering in terms of overall quality and diversity has never been better.

Take note that our sale will be held at 3:00 pm this year rather than the evening as in past years. After the sale, the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Gelbvieh Association will host a Christmas banquet as well as their annual fun auction fundraiser.

CATTLE INSPECTION: All cattle will carry ear tagscorresponding to lot numbers. We encourage inspection of the sale cattle at the farm any time prior to the sale.

HEALTH: Overall herd health is excellent. Official vaccinates are designated.

PREGNANCY: All bred females will have been examined prior to the sale.

EXPORT SALES: PLEASE MAKE YOURSELF FAMILIAR WITH THE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS IN YOUR STATE. Bangs vaccinates are noted as O.C.V. In the event that animals are sold to the continental U.S.A., the animals will be kept under excellent care, health tested and have export health charts supplied at no extra charge. Release of export animals will only take place upon full and complete payment of such animals.
