Respect for the land, meticulous selection of the grapes, attentive work in the cellarsand an abundance of passion…The Villabella winesThe Cristoforetti and Delibori families

Vigneti Villabella’s headquarters are at Calmasino, in the heart of the

Bardolino Classico zone, on hillsides that look out over Lake Garda.

Founded in 1971 by Walter Delibori and Giorgio Cristoforetti, it is

still owned and run by their two families.

The company produces all the major classic wines of the Verona

area, such as Bardolino, Lugana, Bianco di Custoza, Soave, Valpolicella,

Ripasso and Amarone, as well as fine red and white I.G.T. wines

from grape varieties that are indigenous to the Province of Verona.

Today, Vigneti Villabella boasts some 220 hectares of vineyards,

which are either owned or managed by the company.

The purchase of Villa Cordevigo at Cavaion Veronese, an eighteenth

century manor house complete with a consecrated chapel and sur-

rounded by 100 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, represents a

synthesis of the Villabella project. The objectives of this project are

to preserve and promote local culture and traditions and to draw

out the full intrinsic quality of the area’s vines and wines. Thanks

to a painstaking preservation and restoration, Villa Cordevigo has

been converted into a Wine Relais. Opened in March 2011, it has

become a wonderful and exclusive destination for those who love a

luxury holiday with good food and fine wines.

The production zones of Bardolino, Lugana and Custoza share the

fact that they are all in the vicinity of Lake Garda.

Bardolino, with its splendid hills of glacial origin and its pleasant,

temperate climate with rainfall concentrated just in the spring and

autumn months, offers wines with remarkable fruitiness: Bardoli-

no Chiaretto, Chiaretto Spumante, Bardolino Classico and also

the Superiore D.O.C.G.

The enormous potential of the Villa Cordevigo estate has allowed

our company to experiment with new methods of planting and

to introduce new blends in certain wines. These wines have now

become the flagships of Villabella: Villa Cordevigo Rosso, Villa

Cordevigo Bianco and Oseleta.

en barrels for 18 months.

Grapes and Vinification

Produced with Corvina, Rondi-

of the vintage.

by traditional vinification of the in-

digenous Corvina, Rondinella and

Molinara grape varieties with just a

the cuvée into sparkling wine then

takes place in closed vats, according

to the Martinotti method.

Anyone involved in pursuing the great winemaking tradition of the

Verona area cannot disregard the fine wines from the Valpolicella and

Soave zones: above all Amarone, but also Recioto, Ripasso, Valpoli-

cella and Soave. The Valpolicella region comprises the amphitheatre of

hills to the north of Verona, which is characterized by a generally

mild climate with regular rainfall. The varied nature of the soils is

reflected in the distinctive personalities of the area’s wines. In the

Soave zone – in the gentle hills to the east of Verona – the white

grapes (and in particular the Garganega variety) benefit from ideal

climate and soils to give wines with great elegance and rich perfumes.
