The Telelap ALF-X is equipped with an eye-tracking system that controls the endoscopic view by moving any point looked at to the center of the screen. The eye-tracking system enables activation of the various available instruments by merely looking at their respec-tive icons on the screen.
Telelap ALF-X è dotato di un sistema di puntamento oculare (eye-tracking) in grado di controllare e� cacemente la visuale endoscopica, spostando il punto osservato dal chirurgo al centro del monitor. Con lo stesso sistema è possibile inoltre prendere il controllo dei vari strumenti disponibili, semplicemente osservando le loro rispettive icone sul monitor.

The Telelap ALF-X is easy to use by the assistants and nurses: it enables quick docking, attachment and replacement of surgical instruments, an uninhibited view and easy access to the surgical area, and a direct communication between the surgeon and his assistants.
Telelap ALF-X è di facile utilizzo da parte degli assistenti e degli infermieri al tavolo operatorio: permette il rapido posizionamento dei bracci e il veloce inserimento e cambio degli strumenti chirurgici, mentre o� re una libera visione dell’area chirurgica nonché un facile accesso al paziente e una normale interazione tra chirurgo ed assistenti.

AbouT NESA
The New European Surgical Academy (NESA) is an international, interdisciplinary surgical institute which was founded in 2004 by leading surgeons from various disciplines in order to enable dialogue among surgeons from different professions.
The main aims of the NESA are:• Evaluate existing surgical procedures, optimize and rationalize them where necessary• Introduce new surgical concepts, procedures and ideas• Create cross-border surgical quality standards based on evidence-based studies.• Share and transfer the gathered knowledge to countries with limited resources
The NESA has been a pioneer in many improved concepts and modified procedures such as:• The establishment of the first European natural orifice surgery working group• The improvement of the trans-Douglas access for abdominal surgery
• The development of the concept, research and implementation of the transoral thyroidectomy• Scientific assistance to the novel European telesurgical concept and system, the Telelap Alf-x• Introducing the concept of analyzing surgical steps and avoiding unnecessary ones (e.g., the ten-step vaginal hysterectomy)• Planning a new international medical school based on humanistic values and a new understanding of the learning process
The NESADAYS conferences have become a platform for the exchange of surgical knowledge among different disciplines.
