High School BBQ

The High School Sunday Night Fellowship program drew to a close on Sunday, May 3 at the Harris Home with a BBQ cookout. During the evening, over 100 people gathered for food, fellowship, and to thank the advisors for their hard work over the past year. Parents were invited to participate in this wonderful event to express their gratitude and see the impact the dedicated Youth Advisors have had on the lives of the young people in our program. During the night, Dean Bowen was honored for her time serving as the Assistant High School Youth Director for the past year. Dean will be retiring from her position in the Youth Ministry and has always gone above and beyond the call of duty in serving God and this church. All of the Youth Advisors were thanked for their time and energy that has been given to the Youth Ministry: David Abercrombie, Doug Banks, Scott Banks, Kyle Bartel, Sheri Bartel, Mike Bowen, Sarah Herum, Marie Schulz, Bruce Scoggin, and Hayden Welsh. We will resume our normal Sunday Night Fellowship activities in late August, but we will have several opportunities to gather for worship, fellowship, and service during the summer.

Middle School Sunday Night Fellowship

The Middle School Youth Ministry had two Sunday Night Fellowship opportunities in May. On May 3, the youth went to have dessert at Bruster’s Ice Cream after dinner. On May 17, the rising 6th grade students were welcome to come and participate in the program to get a feel of what the Youth Ministry is all about. We played games to get to know each other and had a meal together. Our rising 6th grade students are invited to participate in our summer Middle School Youth Ministry programs and activities, and it was great to have them with us for the evening!
