Be in prayer for the churches in Nicaragua particularly in

Chinandega. Below is specific prayer requests from Pastor

Frank:

-Pray for his family, they are planning to have anotherbaby.

-Pray for him to always speak Biblical truth to the Church. -This season is heavy for Mary worship and idolatry, prayfor their evangelistic efforts.

-Pray for Pastor Frank as he begins to preach in the bookof John. Pray for his study through this book and thosewho hear would come to Christ.

Bible Reading: Matthew 28:1-10; Romans 15:14-33; Psalm 70; Deut. 32

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church andgave himself up for her” Ephesians 5:25. Husbands, lets agreeto stop asking God to change our wives before we FIRST askhim to change us. Whatever we would want to see changed inthem cannot compare to what must be changed in us. We mustdie.

He has called us to lead in selfless sacrifice: the charge to loveher “as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her.”There is no sacrifice you will make for your wife that will begreater than what Jesus sacrificed for his wife, the church. Je-sus gave his life. Before we point a finger at the ways we wishGod would change our wives, let us first ask ourselves, “Howhave I died today for my wife? What have I sacrificed for her? What have I given up in order to bless and serve her?” Maybeit is time spent on her rather than on yourself. Maybe it is a un-deserved response of kind forgiveness toward her sin againstyou. Maybe it is the refusal to defend yourself even when youknow you are right. Whatever it is, it will be easier to bear thanthe cross.

Whatever it is, husbands, we have to admit that we have notdied to self enough to point a self-righteous finger of accusationat our wives. Let our prayer be, “Change me first, Lord.”

Bible Reading: Matthew 27:27-44; Romans 13; Psalm 68; Deut. 22-26

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who arein Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Oh saints! How we need to be reminded of this! Far toooften, after repenting of our sin and seeking the Lord’s for-

giveness, we turn back to stare at it and hit ourselves overthe head with it for days on end. If the Lord has promised tocast our sin into the depths of the sea, will we then swim tothe bottom to get it out again? If He has promised to put itbehind his back, will we seek to put it before our face? Howdare we meditate on what God has done away with!

Let us instead “fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and per-fecter of our faith.” Let us instead “set our mind on thingsabove, not on the things that are on the earth.” Let us forgetwhat lies behind and press on to what lies ahead for the

goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Bible Reading: Matthew 27:45-56; Romans 14; Psalm 69:1-18; Deut. 27-28

Bible Reading: Matthew 27:1-10; Romans 12:1-8; Psalm 66; Deut. 13-17

Yesterday in John 3 we saw the need to know the truemessage of salvation. These themes and verse will helpyou walk people through the gospel message. We en-courage you to know these essential truths as they arerevealed in Scripture:

God is a Holy Creator: (Isaiah 43:15; 1 Peter 1:16)

Man has sinned against God: (Romans 3:23; Ecclesiastes7:20)

Jesus Christ came to reconcile God to man: (Romans6:23; Colossians 1:19-20)

Man must believe and repent: (Acts 2:38; 2 Corinthians7:10)

Bible Reading: Matthew 27:11-26; Romans 12:9-21; Psalm 67; Deut. 18-21

Meditate on Romans 12:9-21 and consider all that we giveup in order to “love our enemies”. We must give up pride, being seen as right, and more. Think about conflict in yourlife. What would it take for you to live the way this pas-sage tells you to?
