• As you close the reading lesson, you might ask students to discuss: o Can you identify the central idea in the reading you did today? o Can you identify the details of the text?

• Use the spelling strategy, Look, Cover, & Check: o Look at the word. o Say the letters in the word. Think about how

each sound is spelled. o Cut out and Sort the word in the right category. o See the word in your mind and Say the word
