1. ALL SHEEP MUST HAVE NATIONAL I.D.TAGS (CSIP) IN PLACE.

2. This show (sections 500-509) is recognized as apurebred show (unless specific classes state other

-wise) and as such, registration will be governed byLivestock Rules and Regulations Rule # 4.

3. All incomplete entries will be treated as late entriesand subject to a late entry fee of $20 in addition tothe regular entry fee. Exceptions will only be madefor entries made with information pending. Pleaseensure ALL information is correctly filled in.

4. An exhibitor is allowed to make 10 entries per breedin single classes consisting of up toa) 3 ram yearlings or 4 ram lambsb) 3 Yearling ewes or 4 ewe lambs. Making for a

total of ten (10) animals.c)

Ewe Lambs – 4 entries

NOTE:In group classes only one entry will beallowed per exhibitor. An individual animal may onlybe shown in one single class.

5. Date of birth and flock letters are to be on the entryforms and will be printed in the catalogue.

6. Pens will be allocated by the Sheep Superintendentand Committee as available.

7. If fewer than 15 animals and 3 flocks or 3 gets areshown for any breed, then that breed will automatically be shown in the Any Other Breed section. Ifa breed from within the AOB class has entries ofmore than 15 animals and 3 flocks or 3 gets, thatbreed will be separated into its own breed show ona yearly basis.

8. Substitutions will be allowed, as follows:a) 4 substitutions within breed and class per

exhibitorb) Substitutions must be made with the Sheep

Entry Clerk on or before the time that registra-tion papers are checked at the show

c) In the case of an animal purchased, then thatanimal may only be substituted for a purchasedanimal entry

9. The following breeds must be shown in short fleece(staple not more than 1.5 inches or 3.8 cm): Dor-set, N.C. Cheviot, Hampshire, Oxford, Southdown,

Class entries (see specific rules). From this dateforward, all Southdown sheep shown in Ontario runcompetitions will be shorn within approximately onemonth prior to competition and have a consistentlength of wool over the entire body, with leg andhead detailing left to the show person’s discretion.

10. All sheep must be washed and all breeds must becleanly presented and of acceptable condition, sub-ject to inspection by representatives of the sheepcommittee. Failure to pass inspection will result inthe immediate expulsion from the RAWF SheepBarn.

11. All sheep must be checked for identification onWednesday November 6, 2019, Sheep that can-not be positively identified when checked by thecommittee will be barred from showing. All animalsmust be identified by an approved tag and/or legibletattoo.

12. Registration papers must be available for checkingby a representative of the RAWF Sheep Commit

-tee. The teeth and length of wool will be exam-

13. The Royal will be following the CSBA tail lengthrequirements. All sheep entered willrequired a caudal fold that can be seen or felt.

14. Reject animals will be marked and/or removed.

16. All sheep—including those exhibiting in the BreedingSheep Show, Junior Sheep Show, Royal Wool andSheep Ambassador Competition, and Market LambShow— will be reviewed by the Culling Committee.At the discretion of the Culling Committee and

of contagious and/or infectious diseases. Any sheep

asked to leave the facilities.17. All exhibitors showing must be dressed in white

shirts and black trousers while showing in the ring.All clothing shall not bear any letters, marks orlabels purporting to reveal the identity of the exhibitors. No hats or caps are to be worn in the showring. No entrance to the ring will be the result forfailing to comply with this rule.

18. All sheep must be washed before arriving at theRAWF, and all sheep must be in proper condition.

19. Exhibitors may show sheep on halters. **One per-son per animal allowed in the ring in all single lambclasses. Two people are permitted per animal in allsingle yearling classes. In group classes only oneextra person per group allowed in the ring.

20. No smoking will be allowed in the Sheep Barn.

21. Blankets must be removed from all sheep followingjudging except class winners and/or animals goingdirectly to another exhibition.

22. All water from pens should be dumped in the des-ignated place – not in the pens. Pens are to be leftin dry conditions at time of release.

23. If there is a class with more than 15 animals presentat the time of the show, the class may be divided,according to the executive committee decisions.The executive committee will be comprised of theChair, Vice Chair and 3 members of the cullingcommittee.

24. In the case of an animal entered in a class that nolonger qualifies, the animal will not be eliminatedor disqualified but will be reclassified and may bemoved to the next age group. No exhibitor mayexceed the number of animals allowed as per Rule#4.

Levine Achievement AwardThis award is donated by Dr. Norman Levine and Family in memory of Peter Levine. The trophy will be presented annually to the person who exemplifies the all-around ability, sportsmanship, and dedication necessary to be respected by his or her fellow exhibitors and breeders. 1. All exhibitors showing and selling in the MarketLamb show must be dressed in white shirts andblack trousers while showing in the ring. All clothingshall not bear any letters, marks or labels purportingto reveal the identity of the exhibitors. No hats orcaps shall be worn in the show ring. No entrance tothe ring will be the result for failing to comply withthis rule. This rule will be strictly enforced.

2. Lambs shown in Classes for Single Market Lambsare not eligible for showing in Pair Classes or viceversa

3. Market Lambs will be reviewed by the Culling Com-mittee. At the discretion of the Culling Committee

inspections for the presence of infectious or conta--

cial Veterinarian will be asked to leave the facilities.

4. All Market Lambs, shown in Single Classes or inGroups, must be slick shorn, and must be docked,properly altered (no testicles or cord present),washed and clean. Lambs will be culled with particu-lar emphasis on those Lambs that are over-finished.

5. All Market Lambs shown must be sold through theauction. Any Lambs not shown will not be eligibleto be sold in the auction.

6. The selling weight of Lambs sold in the auction willbe the actual weight on the day prior to Show Day.Lambs will be weighed starting Monday November4, 2019, 12:30 pm.

An Exhibitor acknowledges the Royal’s right torandomly test any market animal and if any ille-gal drug residue(s) are found, the RAWF will notmake payment to the Exhibitor for that animal oranimals, and may take action to bar the exhibitorfrom competing at future shows of the RAWF.
