What is Tarleton Stock Horse?
The Tarleton State University Stock Horse Team is comprised of students dedicated to
showing their horses in the collegiate divisions of the Stock Horse of Texas and
American Stock Horse Associations. Shows consisting of Ranch Trail, Ranch Pleasure,
Ranch Reining, and Ranch Cow Horse classes in Novice, Limited Non-Pro,
Intermediate, and Non-Pro divisions.
This program allows students the
opportunity to learn several skills
outside of the classroom that will
ultimately prepare them for any
career. Time management is of
utmost importance as the student
participants often juggle class
participation, with several hours of
employment, caring for their
horses, and still dedicate 10 or more
hours of practice each week. Out-
side of the show pen, Stock Horse
Team Members are helping their
school and their community
through various events including,
but not limited to, FFA Contests,
workdays, and service day projects.
Our focus includes:
• Both hosting and participating in clinics
• One on one learning opportunities
• Developing partnerships between horse
and rider
• Providing live cattle for people to practice
and learn
• Learning atmosphere

Special Sponsorship Opportunities
are available for Team Apparel,
Tack, Transportation, etc.
Dollar amount of items given will
reflect the sponsorship level and
services given by the team.
Traveling to the different Stock Horse shows and to different horse events for the
associations is expensive, especially for college students. In order to help offset our expenses,
we are seeking sponsorships in the form of tax deductible donations. Sponsorships allow our
members to continue their passion for showing and pursue their dreams as horsemen and
women.
If you are interested in sponsoring our team, through a tax deductible donation, please
