5) HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?

I used a bright and bold font to catch the reader’s attention and also give my magazine a professional and sophisticated look.

I used a three colour scheme which was red, black and white. I felt that these colours are bold and eye-catching and this colour scheme is usually used in R&B and Hip-Hop magazines which is the genre of my magazine so I wanted to create a sense of familiarity.

The use of the collage gives my magazine a sense of uniqueness. I edited all the pictures in this collage to make it bright so that it is appealing. I also used both black and white pictures to make it look modern. The use of the pull quote is to inspire the audience.

The different shot types make my magazine look versatile which is what I wanted my magazine to be, versatile.

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK

• “I like the consistent colour scheme throughout the magazine. The images on the dps are very original which catches the audience’s attention”. This is one of the feedback I got for my magazine. I am pleased with this feedback as the consistent colour scheme is something I worked really hard on and contemplated on as I wanted it to be perfect as I know that this is what attracts the audience. The DPS images I took were to represent the strong, empowered women and as you can see from the comment above this concept was liked this is furthermore; backed up by another feedback I received “The photography stage is excellent i really like the images.”
