Thoughts from Salesian Spirituality
“The words with which the Lord exhorts us to take up His cross and follow Him [cf. Lk 9:23] must be understood in this sense. We must cheerfully receive all the crosses that are given to us, even the slightest and the most
insignificant. In this way we can understand the value of small crosses. ” † St. Francis de Sales

Why the Stephen Series? Holy Infant has begun participating in the Stephen Series, a program that equips laypeople to do caring ministry. Why the Stephen Series? The Stephen Series trains people in the basic skills necessary for helping others. Through lecture, discussion, and experiential learning, people learn everything they need for this caring ministry—how to be an effective listener, specific techniques for ministering to grieving people, and more. Our parish will reap many blessings through our involvement in this ministry of care. effective ways.
Plan to attend an INFORMATION MEETING ABOUT STEPHEN MINISTRY . Our guest speaker will be Kathleen Owen. Her parish, St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, has 25 years of experience with Stephen Ministry.
