A Note from the Author

Welcome to the Grande Finale of Generation H’s Uni years! This chapter has closure and resolution, along with love, wisdom, and disguise. The Exchange is still borked, but for some reason people who only play the base game have been able to upload. Which is beyond stupid. No offense, but I’ve been reading these few stories that are posted each day, and most of them are really bad. So the Exchange is completely and totally made of fail.I hope you enjoy this chapter! It is very long, 174 slides. Longer than any chapter I’ve ever written. It NEVER would have fit on the Exchange, which is another reason why the Exchange is completely and totally made of fail. So sit back, relax, and read!

~June

Hello, and welcome back to Hermione’s ABCs! It is finally, FINALLY the last chapter of the H college years! In our last chapter, “It’s a Love Story, Baby, Just Say Yes,” Harry and Bella continued their relationship. Harry is completely in love with Bella, but she doesn’t regard him with such importance. Harry asked Bella to marry him, and while she planned on refusing him, she found she couldn’t and said yes. Harry found Bella wasn’t entirely faithful the next day and confronted her, only for her to talk her way out of the situation. Harry told Helena, who was outraged and went so far as to call Bella a whore, which made Harry furious and resulted in him hitting her. Harry realized he was more upset about Bella’s infidelity than he thought, and had a good cry, and Helena assured him someday Bella would appreciate Harry’s unwavering faith.Along the way, Mimi met a cute artist named Simon, and the two hit it off spectacularly.

Page 4: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

But all was not well. Harry planned a celebratory dinner for the end of Uni and the various engagements with their parents, Gabi and Almeric, only for Mimi to freak out for some reason.“Why are you…what’s going on?” Helena asked.“Well…”

Page 5: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well what?! Is everything okay?”

Page 6: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Come on, Mimi, just tell us. It can’t be that bad,” Harry laughed, hiding his concern.

Page 7: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You promise you guys won’t be mad?”“It depends,” Helena said. Harry threw her a dirty look. “We won’t be mad,” Harry assured her.“Well…okay.”

Page 8: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well, I’ve been writing Mom and Dad letters the whole time I’ve been here at college. Mom asked how I was doing, and, well, you guys know we’ve never really gotten along. She never really liked me, and she was never proud of me because I wasn’t smart. I really want to make her proud, but I’m not good at the things she wants me to do.”

Page 9: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“So this whole time I’ve been telling Mom that I’m the smartest in class, and all my professors love me, and I’ve got the best GPA in my whole class. And she wrote back and she said she was proud, so I never told her the truth. I told her I study and read nonfiction and watch the news and all the weird things smart people do. So that’s why Mom and Dad can’t come here!”

Page 10: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“So basically you’ve been lying to Mom about your whole life?” Helena said, fury building up in her voice.“Yeah,” Mimi said quietly.“Mimi, you don’t even GO to class!” Helena exploded.

Page 11: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

They stood up.“I can’t believe you! Mom was going to find out sooner or later, you couldn’t lie to her forever!”“I know.”“Mimi, you’ve done some stupid things, but this is by far the stupidest!”

Page 12: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Helena, you don’t know what it’s like. Mom has never, ever been proud of me. I don’t know why, but she’s always pushed me to be smart and I’m just not, but she’s never accepted it.”

Page 13: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“The last time I talked to her, she was yelling at me for opening a little salon at the store. She didn’t even say good-bye when I left for college. We never talked. Mom’s not even really a mom to me; sometimes I think when I was born I broke something she liked or some crazy thing, and she’s never forgiven me.”

Page 14: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“It’s not like I yell at her or anything; just being myself makes her mad. I know it was bad to lie, but I just wanted to make her proud for once, you know? Just once. So please help me? Maybe I can pretend to be smart just for the party, but I need help. Please?”

Page 15: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Harry went up to Mimi. “Sure, we’ll help you. Mom’s never been fair to you, I saw it myself. Helena was too young to really remember, and she wasn’t even at the store that day.”Behind them, Helena sighed, “Yeah, I guess you’re right, Harry. We’ll help you, Mimi.”“Really?!”

Page 16: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Of course! You’re our sister, Mimi, we’re happy to help,” Harry said warmly.

Page 17: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I need to be smart. Where do I start?”“Well, first, we need to change how you look. Right now you look like…you. Not smart.”“Right.”

Page 18: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“So, how do I look smart?” Mimi asked.“Well, I’m not exactly sure,” Harry admitted.“Oh, please,” Helena scoffed, hands on hips. “Let me, I’m the Knowledge Sim here!”

Page 19: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Not long after, Mimi examined her new outfit. “Ew, it’s so nerdy.”“Exactly! Look; you were named after our matriarch, and she was smart. I think Mom always wanted you to be like her. So you’re wearing her old outfit.”“Ohh, that makes sense.”“Now for your hair…”“Noooo!”

Page 20: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

After a dye job and a bout with a burning-hot hair straightener, Mimi examined her new look in a mirror. “Oh my plumbob…my hair! It’s not curly or bouncy or pretty! It’s…it’s…straight and brown and just…ew!”

Page 21: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I’m not too sure about this anymore,” Mimi said, facing her sister.

Page 22: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“We’re not forcing you to do this. You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”Mimi sighed. “But Mom’s still coming here either way, right?”“Yeah.”“Then I’m doing it. I…she’ll hate me more than ever.”

Page 23: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“So.” Mimi took a deep breath. “Teach me how to be smart.”

Page 24: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Harry pushed past Helena. “We’d be happy to!”“So. Lesson number one?”“Okay. Sometimes how you talk and what you say really makes you seem smart. No more talking in slang or text talk.”“No LOLs?”“Definitely not.”“When people say that like it’s a real word it’s both dumb and annoying,” Helena added.

Page 25: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Also, smart people rarely talk about celebrities or who won American Idol or whatever.”“What about puppies?”“Uh, clones puppies. Puppies that glow in the dark. Science puppies.”

Page 26: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“What do I talk about?” Mimi asked, her common topics of conversation all eliminated.“The news. Current events. Science. Literature. Speaking of which…”

Page 27: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You’re going to watch the midmorning news.”“Nooooo!”

Page 28: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

After a horrid few hours watching the news, Mimi got a phone call.“Hello, Mimi Granger here. Oh, hi, Simon! I’m fine, how are you?” Mimi smiled. After a rather bad day, getting a call from her boyfriend was just what she needed.

Page 29: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Hey, you wanna come over?” Mimi asked. “It’s gonna get dark soon, but I’d love to see you. Really? That’s great! I’ll see you soon!”

Page 30: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Night fell, but Simon came as promised. He looked at her for a full minute, confusion in his eyes. Finally he said, “Uh, Mimi? Is that you?”“Yes. Sorry, I should have warned you that I’d look different.”

Page 31: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Why’d you dye your hair?” Simon asked. “Not that it really matters. I guess.”

Page 32: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well, it’s a whole big deal. I told you my mom and I never really got along. So this whole time I’ve been writing her, and telling her I got smart and stuff, only now she’s coming for a visit, so I have to pretend to be smart for her. Don’t worry, I’ll curl my hair and stuff again and everything will be back to normal,” Mimi explained.

Page 33: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

He looked at her again, with an expression she could not read. “I…I’m not exactly sure I’m comfortable with all this, Mimi.”

Page 34: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“What do you mean?”“Well, when I met you I like how carefree you were. We’re really alike. Or so I thought.”“I don’t understand.”

Page 35: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I want to make my parents happy. I don’t want them to be mad at me. But I’d never lie to them. I don’t know about you, but I’m not really into liars.”

Page 36: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I’m not a liar!” Mimi insisted. “It’s just…my mom…my whole life, I’ve never made her happy with me. I wanted to make her happy for once, just once! Can’t you understand?”“I do understand. But I’d never lie about myself to my parents, it would only make them more mad, and that’s the last thing I want!”“I can’t tell her the truth! You don’t know her, she’ll like me better if I lie!”

Page 37: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

He acted as though she hadn’t spoken. “You’re not the same girl. The Mimi I know isn’t a liar. She may not be a scholar, but she’s not dumb enough to try and pull off something like this. The Mimi I know doesn’t lie and doesn’t hide. When she comes back, tell her to give me a call.”

Page 38: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

He turned heel and stomped off angrily. Mimi cried after him, “I am the same! Simon, please, don’t go!”

Page 39: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You don’t understand! It’s the only way! Please come back…”But he was gone.

Page 40: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

I can’t believe he just left. I am the same. I really am.I wish I’d never lied to Mom. But this seems like the only way. She hates me, and I don’t know why.I was only ever myself, but that just wasn’t enough…

Page 41: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Several days passed, and finally it was the day of Gabi and Almeric’s visit. “So. You ready?” Helena asked with a smile.“Yeah,” Mimi said softly, even though she wasn’t at all ready. She hadn’t told anyone about her fight with Simon, wishing it had never happened.

Page 42: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Yes. I’m ready,” Mimi repeated, trying to convince herself.Helena looked concerned. “You sound nervous.”“Well, I am a bit,” Mimi admitted.

Page 43: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You seem upset about something. I can tell.”“Well…I had a fight with Simon.”“Over what?”“This whole thing. He thinks what I’m doing is wrong, so he’s mad at me. I tried to explain, but he didn’t get it.”

Page 44: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Helena hugged her sister tight. “Oh, it’s okay. He’ll come around. You’ll do fine tonight.”Mimi smiled. “Thanks.”“There’s still time to catch a bus to Anywhere-But-Here-ville,” Helena joked.“Really? Can I go?” Mimi said quickly.Helena laughed. “Just relax.”

Page 45: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Evening came too quickly for Mimi. Helena got a call a little after eight.“This is Helena. Oh, hi Daddy! Really, you’re nearly here? Excellent! See you soon!”

Page 46: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

True to their word, Gabi and Almeric arrived a few minutes later. “Hi, Daddy!” Helena said, hugging her father. “I remember the way here from when your mother was in college. She always wanted me over here,” Almeric joked.“Stop! You came and visited me most of the time,” Gabi laughed.

Page 47: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“How are you, Mom?” Helena asked, greeting her mother as well.“Good. This old place still standing?”“Yup!”

Page 48: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

The family sat at the dining room table, with Mimi taking a seat next to her mother.“Hermione? Is that you?” Gabi asked incredulously. “Yes it is,” Mimi said brightly.“To be honest, I always had my doubts reading your letters. You’ve really matured, darling,” Gabi said happily.

Page 49: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You look nice,” Almeric added. “But Harry and Helena have news too, hmm? Your mother wouldn’t tell me.”“Heh, and for good reason,” Helena said under her breath.

Page 50: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well, Daddy, I’m engaged.”“Great! Who’s the lucky guy?”“Uh…promise you won’t freak out?”“Yes, I promise,” Almeric said dismissively. “Just tell me.”“Erm…well…” Helena paused for a minute. “I’m engaged to Seb.”

Page 51: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“What?! Philtre?”“You promised you wouldn’t freak out!”“Gabi, you knew about this?!” Almeric said, turning on his wife.Gabi sighed. “Yes, and you promised you wouldn’t freak out.”

Page 52: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Just so you know, I did not approve of any of this,” Harry said.“Kiss-up,” Helena muttered.“But I’m engaged, too.”“To who? Anyone’s an improvement,” Almeric said fervently.“Daddy!”“What?”“I’m engaged to June’s daughter Belladonna.”“Not much of an improvement,” Helena said quietly.“What?”“Nothing.”

Page 53: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Through all this, Mimi sat in silent agony. Simon’s angry words came to her and wouldn’t leave. She knew now he was right. Her mother would find out about her lies eventually, and then she’d be madder than ever. Mimi was not suited to lying; she felt so guilty she thought she’d explode. And she didn’t want to lose Simon over something like this!

Page 54: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Suddenly, she screamed, “I can’t do this!”Silence fell at the table.

Page 55: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Can’t do what, Hermione?” Gabi asked, breaking the awful silence.

Page 56: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Nothing,” Harry covered up quickly.“Mimi…” Helena said softly, looking concerned.

Page 57: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“It’s okay,” Mimi said, closing her eyes and trying to calm down. She stood up and faced her mother.

Page 58: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Look. My letters were all a lie. I’m not the smartest in my class. I don’t go to class. I’m still the same me. I like to dance, not watch the news, and talk about puppies, but in a non-sciencey way.”

Page 59: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Harry and Helena helped me pretend, but I don’t want to lie. I don’t want to hide who I really am. Who I really am is a Pleasure Sim who likes jumping on couches and singing karaoke and doing the smustle all day.”

Page 60: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I’m a Pleasure Sim dating another Pleasure Sim. His name’s Simon and he’s an artist, and I love him. We’re very alike; his parents don’t approve of his art and stuff. He’s smarter than they think; he’s mad at me for lying to you, and I just couldn’t lose him.”

Page 61: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I know it was wrong to lie, and I’m really, really sorry. And I’m sorry I’m not the daughter you wanted, Mom, but could you please forgive me?”Mimi finished her speech and looked at her mother, who got up and went over to her.

Page 62: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I can’t believe you!” Gabi screamed. “I knew it was too good to be true! And seriously? Of all people to date, you choose a scruffy disowned artist?”

Page 63: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“He’s not scruffy, Mom! Just give him a chance! Just give me a chance!”

Page 64: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“All I wanted was to make you proud! But nothing was ever good enough for you! I don’t know why I was supposed to be born a genius, but I’m not!”

Page 65: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I…I j-just wanted…”But Mimi succumbed to tears. Harry got up immediately and put an arm around her.

Page 66: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Helena, visibly furious, faced her mother.“Look at you! You made your daughter cry, for God’s sake, and you don’t even care! You’ve got to be the worst mother ever! Do you care at all?”

Page 67: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I tried my best! At least I’m 2-for-3. Mimi may be a disappointment, but Harry’s not vain and you’re not miserable.”“What the hell is that supposed to mean?!” Helena screeched.

Page 68: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“If you cared,” Helena continued, “you’d remember when I broke up with my boyfriend and cried for days. Or when I thought Seb didn’t love me so I tried to jump off a balcony and Mimi stopped me! She’s not a disappointment! Yeah, if you cared you’d know these things!”“What?” Gabi looked visibly shocked. “That sounds like misery…1-for-3, then.”“Stop saying that!”Behind them, Harry said to Mimi, “Don’t cry. It’s okay. I’ll be a much better heir than Mom was, don’t worry.”Gabi did a double take. “What?!”

Page 69: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well, I’m the heir, right?” Harry asked.“Not the time, Harry!” Helena yelled.Gabi looked shaken. “It…it came true…after all I did…I can’t believe it…!”“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!” Helena screamed.

Page 70: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Oh, I think I know,” said a mysterious figure who had just walked in.Total silence fell in the room as everyone stopped and stared.

Page 71: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gabi pushed past her children and confronted the stranger. “You!”“Me.”“This is all YOUR fault, you know!”“Is it really, child of lies?” the woman replied calmly.

Page 72: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Mom, who is that? What’s wrong with her face?” Helena asked.

Page 73: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gabi sighed. “Okay, I never wanted to tell you kids this, but I have no choice. When I was in college, this woman gave me a prophecy about you three before you were born.”“How’d it go?” Harry asked.Gabi remembered that night like it was yesterday.

Page 74: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Child of lies, you are heiress fair. One of your children are bound to be heir.Pickings are slim, how will you choose,Between these three? You’re bound to lose. The eldest, the hero, and rather vain,Thinking the heirship is theirs, just for their name. The middle, the disappointment, they’ll fall from grace. They don’t deserve it, you think their head’s up in space. The youngest, the baby, child of despair,Broken, defeated, with burdens too great to bear. This is the future of your children three,At this moment now I can tell what they’ll be.”

Page 75: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

The children three gathered around their mother and the oracle.“So you’re telling me you expected us to be vain and miserable and disappointments?” Helena asked. “And as such, we can’t be anything else but that?”“Yes,” Gabi said.“That’s bull. Some crazy can say things, it doesn’t mean that it’s true!”“But it came true!” Gabi insisted.“But not because of me,” the oracle said.

Page 76: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

She went up to Harry.“Why do you think you’re going to be heir?” “I dunno. I really want it. When I was little, Mom was always talking about heirship with me. She told me about the poll, about the heir’s responsibilities…I just assumed it was me,” Harry said.

Page 77: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“But…I did all that so Harry wouldn’t think he was heir, even though he’s named after someone so important. So he’d know I couldn’t just name him heir, and there had to be a poll.”

Page 78: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Why did you try to jump off the balcony?” “I didn’t want to be alone.”“Why?”“Well, I’ve always sort of been alone. I was never really close to anyone besides Mimi for a long time.”“Why?”Helena made a face. “I guess for awhile I wanted to be alone. When I was really little I didn’t like how Mom always dressed me up, but I didn’t know how to say it, so I just hid away.”

Page 79: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“But I did that to make her feel loved. So she wouldn’t be miserable and alone!”

Page 80: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Why are you a disappointment?”“I’m not smart. Mom always pushed me to be smart, but I just never was.”

Page 81: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I pushed her to achieve so she wouldn’t be a disappointment. I named her after our matriarch so she’d have a role model!”“But you never allowed for her to impress you and achieve in other ways,” the oracle pointed out.And suddenly Gabi understood.

Page 82: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Child of lies, don’t you see? The prophecy only came true because of the things you did so it wouldn’t come true.”“How does that even work?”

Page 83: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You cannot set too much in store by prophecies and tea leaves. It is always wise to heed prophecies; ignoring them can be just as troublesome. But you cannot live your life fearing the future and doing whatever you can to create a future you think is better. Embrace the future. It is not set in stone.”

Page 84: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Didn’t I tell you?” Almeric laughed. “I told you, didn’t I? I told you not to worry about that prophecy so much!”“You did,” Gabi admitted.

Page 85: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gabi found Mimi.“I am so sorry. So, so sorry. It was wrong of me to expect so much of you. I should have seen you weren’t destined for academic greatness. I just…I just wanted the best for all of you, but I guess I don’t know what’s best for you at all, do I? I wish I--”

Page 86: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Mimi said nothing, but hugged her mother tightly. And somehow she said everything that way. After a moment, Mimi said, “Would you like to meet the real me?”“I’d love that.”

Page 87: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

After a moment, Mimi returned.“I…my goodness. You’re beautiful, Mimi darling.”“Wait. Did you just call me Mimi?”“I guess I did.” Gabi smiled. “Is that okay?”“It’s most definitely okay.”

Page 88: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gabi faced all her children. “Kids, I’m sorry for all this nonsense. I’ve been a bad mother. I never wanted to cause you all so much pain.”

Page 89: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I only hope you can all forgive me. But I understand if you don’t.”But all three quickly forgave her. “I would have done the same thing,” Harry said.

Page 90: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gabi smiled from ear to ear. “Really?”“Really,” all three children chorused. With that, Gabi and Almeric headed home, a significant weight lifted off Gabi’s shoulders. The strange oracle had made her exit unnoticed some time before.

Page 91: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

No sooner had they left did Mimi call up Simon. “You were right,” she said simply. “I told my mom the truth.”“So it’s really you,” Simon said.

Page 92: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“To be honest, I thought you wouldn’t listen to me.”“Are you kidding? I couldn’t lose you.”

Page 93: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I love you, Mimi.”“I love you more.”

Page 94: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

And in typical Pleasure Sim fashion, Mimi and Simon rekindle their relationship with a dream date.

Page 95: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Hey guess what! It’s senior year for the H kids! You know what that means?“The horror of Uni is almost over?”Yes, and we’re going off to Sorority of Death once Mimi and Helena come back! Harry somehow got two hours ahead of his sisters.

Page 96: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

And here they are! Bye, Abbey, see ya next gen!

Page 97: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

At S o’ D, we have boring George and awesome Nicole.“Can I leave now? I sort of graduated last generation but you never moved me out.”Yeah, well, you’re boring and I don’t particularly like you. Much like Baron, Dennis, Davy, or Fleur. Why? BECAUSE YOU’RE ALL BORING. DO something!

Page 98: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You look dumb!“Gee, thanks. You owe me, you know!”Bah. I’ll throw you a wedding party and buy you a statue or whatever, Fortune Sim. Be grateful your fiancée is cool.

Page 99: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Hi, Mimi, welcome to Sorority of Death! We’re glad to--oh.”“Oh.”Awkward!

Page 100: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“You have, like, great taste!”“Ohmigod, you too!”

Page 101: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Congrats on getting into the Greek house, Mimi!”“You too!”And the H kids are all moved in!

Page 102: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“The walls look different! Did they get a haircut?”No, Mimi. New wallpaper and carpeting! I thought I’d brighten the place up a bit, you know?“You know this place is called Sorority of Death, right?”Meh. We haven’t killed anyone in a while.

Page 103: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Hi, Cassidy. You’ve been our placeholder for awhile now, yes?“Yup! Since Generation E!”Really? Wow. I don’t think I’ve properly introduced S o’ D’s official placeholder. Her name is Cassidy Tse, and she is a Leo Popularity Sim. She has indeed been here awhile, and she’s never caused much trouble. I think you only spoke in one slide until now, hmm?“Yeah, one slide in “Kisses and Misses.” I was talking to Audrey. Tee hee, she was fun!”Well, seeing as you’re going to graduate soon, mind showing our new placeholder the ropes?

Page 104: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Our new placeholder for Sorority of Death is Gemino Hiatt. She is the daughter of two of our previous placeholders, former cheerleader Cadence, aka Candy, and former llama mascot Kennedy, aka Big Fat Manskank Jerkface. Gemino was born in “Attack of the Ten Kids, Part Two” and based on her parents, I had her pegged as genetically screwed. She takes after her mother, and didn’t turn out that bad. Gemino is another Popularity Sim like Cadence and Cassidy.

Page 105: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Bloo bagoo, taxi!”Yes, she has 10 outgoing points. We have yet another finger-gunning naked hot tubber. >.<

Page 106: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

I like Gemino for some reason. Nostalgia or something.“So, Cassidy, what do I have to know about being a placeholder? Is it hard?”“Oh, not at all. It’s a pretty easy job if you get on June’s good side. Don’t be too annoying, stay out of the way when June’s shooting plotty scenes, do what she says, don’t heart-fart inappropriate people or flirt with heirs or stuff. Of course, there’s a chance that she’ll automatically hate you even though you didn’t do anything, but I think you’re good.”

Page 107: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

I got the H kids’ portraits up. Gemino’s is in the kitchen. This is the third room I’m putting portraits in. Someday I may have to build a separate place for all these portraits when we run out of space in the house.

Page 108: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

In other news, George has his own house, and since I’m patched and stuff, Nicole can move in!*scrolls through options*AW HELL NO.Where’s “Propose…Move In”?! Stupid…! The patch: IT DOES NOTHING!

Page 109: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Well, GUESS FREAKIN’ WHAT. I’m boolpropping Nicole in. Audrey will not live long enough for Nicole to actually graduate without me playing her exclusively for a billion years, which is not happening. Stupid patch.

Page 110: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

So we’re throwing a wedding party! Whoo! Gabi, George, Fred, and Audrey are invited.

Page 111: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Fred: “Engagement?”Audrey: “Marriage?”

Page 112: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Look how cute Nicole is with her wedding dress and pretty hair and stuff!“And me?”Sorry, George, I got nothing for you. I don’t particularly like you.

Page 113: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

FRED! Stop yawning during your only son’s wedding! GINNY! Stop looking bored during your only brother’s wedding! Geez, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it?

Page 114: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Aww, cute, everyone’s clapping and not yawning.

Page 115: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Aaaand Ginny and Fred are done.

Page 116: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Audrey: “+8,000!”Gabi: “Ginny’s a Popularity Sim.”

Page 117: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Fred: “+8,000!”Gabi: “Ginny’s still a Popularity Sim.”

Page 118: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

To the surprise of absolutely no one, George is a cake feeder, not a cake smasher.

Page 119: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“PILLOW FIGHT!”They both got aspiration points for this autonomous pillow fight, BTW. *sniffle* You guys are far too awesome to be dying soon! Wah!

Page 120: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

The party was a roof raiser, as the few Granger parties always are, and George and Nicole hurry off on honeymoon.

Page 121: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

I forgot George and Nicole had their picture taken as teens. High school sweethearts FTW!

Page 122: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

And soon, Nicole goes into labor. Because she is awesome, she actually rolled the want for a baby. Even though Fortune Sims like never roll the want for a baby.

Page 123: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

OMGWTFBBQ?!And because Nicole is awesome, she throws a BLONDE BABY! Ha! Eat that, Flipendo, you stupid idiot mime kid, I hate you!“Uh, okay…”I’m not weird! Take this funny jacket off me! EHEHEHEHE MANGOES!

Page 124: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Here he is all grown up. I named him Alchem. Alchemy was the medieval not-science of turning ordinary minerals into gold. With Fortune Sim parents, why not?

Page 125: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“WHOO six grandbabies!”Glad I made ya happy, Audrey. Now she wants 20. Heh heh, not happening.

Page 126: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

So…cute…argh, you two can’t die! You’re far too adorable for death! D:

Page 127: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Meanwhile, at Sorority of Death…“Hey! I saw that! You were trying to cheat me at chess!”“Uh, no I wasn’t?”

Page 128: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“How dumb do you think I am?”“I was hoping very.”“Urgh!”

Page 129: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Yeah, Harry, Helena’s got maxed logic, I don’t think you can pull a fast one on her.

Page 130: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

OMG! Guess what I discovered! If two Sims both have handhelds, they can play against each other! Like with computer games in FreeTime! I think Harry kicked Mimi’s butt, she was all like, “Dammit!” and he was like, “WIN!”

Page 131: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

One night, Harry had just returned from class when he found someone was waiting for him.“Hey, it’s you. The creepy fortune teller who gave my mom a prophecy was she was in college.”“It is indeed me, child of faith.”“Why are you here?”“I have a prophecy for you.”“Oh, man. Please don’t curse my future children.”

Page 132: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I cannot say for sure. This prophecy…even I do not understand it. Perhaps you will. I do hope you take this knowledge wisely.”“I will. I’ll only keep it in mind.”“The prophecy is this:The poison flower tags its name on hearts and lets them bleed, caring not if they survive, save for one. It blooms in love, surrounded by clouds of doubt. It is uprooted against its will. Far away from here lives the poison flower’s twin, beauty concealed by mystery. The poison flower sheds its venom, but none are left to believe. It needs a hero. The hero shall banish the poison flower, having taken in the venom too long. Clouds of doubt obscure his view. Faith shall intertwine them forevermore.”

Page 133: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Harry pondered a minute. “That makes absolutely no sense. What’s the poison flower? An actual flower, or a metaphor or something?”“I told you: I know not. Take this knowledge wisely, child of faith.”

Page 134: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I have never had a prophecy I did not understand before. It is rather alarming.”“What does it mean, that you don’t understand?”“Perhaps the prophecy is more subject to change than is typical.”“Faith shall intertwine them forevermore…” Harry murmured. “Maybe that means me. You called me child of faith. Maybe I’m supposed to unite the poison flower and the hero or whatever.” A horrible thought came to him. “Oh, God, it doesn’t mean Helena and Mimi, does it? Does this mean they’re going to fight and I have to work things out? I hope that’s not what it means…”“I did not feel like I had to give this prophecy to your sisters. I do hope the gift of understanding comes to you, child of faith. Good night.”And she was gone.

Page 135: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

The next night…Well, guys, you’re seniors. It’s almost graduation day. Everything’s been sorted out, right?

Page 136: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Except, of course, heirship,” Harry said eagerly. “I bet it’s me, right?”“Why would it be you?” Helena asked harshly.

Page 137: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Well, come on guys! I am named after the hero in the series, after all.”

Page 138: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Yeah, but I’m named after the heroine!” Mimi said. “You know, the drug? That makes me cool!”

Page 139: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

An awkward silence followed.“That’s not a good message for the readers,” Harry finally said.“What? Is there some other kind of heroine I don’t know about?”“Yes!”

Page 140: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Helena casually checked her nails. “Pfft, you wish. I’m named after a pivotal character in book seven. Harry, your character never would have defeated Voldemort without my character’s help! Plus, I have my own song. Top that.”

Page 141: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Oh, give it up, Helena! My character’s pivotal in ALL the books and he’s not dead.”“Well, actually, that’s a topic of debate--”“Okay, but he’s alive in the end, alright?”“I live, too!” Mimi put in.

Page 142: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Yeah, well, that’s all fine and dandy, but I’M June’s favorite!” Helena said triumphantly.

Page 143: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“No way! I’M June’s favorite!” Harry and Mimi said immediately.

Page 144: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Mimi, how could you think you’re June’s favorite? It’s OBVIOUSLY me!” Harry said.“You wish!” Mimi retorted.“You BOTH wish. I remind June of her favorite band, of course it’s me!” Helena said smugly.

Page 145: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Harry and Mimi ignored her. “Alright, who got the longer chapter? Me! It’s all because I’m June’s favorite and she devotes as much time as possible to me!”“Chapter length has nothing to do with it!”“Chapter length has everything to do with it!”

Page 146: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Guys.“Well, YOUR chapter isn’t all you! Mine was! Beat that, blondie!”“I got TWO chapters to myself; 30 was all me, baby!” Helena said.Guys!“Yeah, well, you’re ugly, Harry!”“That’s the worst comeback I’ve ever heard!”“Yeah, well, your face!”“Yeah, well, your mama’s so fat she could eat the Internet!”“That’s YOUR mom, too!”GUYS!

Page 147: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Everyone SHUT UP and stop arguing. The heir is--“Me, right?”Quiet, Harry! The heir is no one yet. I’m not posting the poll until I finish the chapter, you crazies.“Oh.”

Page 148: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

All of you are acting dumb. You guys are all best friends! “But who’s your favorite?”Quiet, Mimi! I don’t pick favorites.“You’ve had a favorite every generation!”LIES!

Page 149: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

There. See? All better. Everyone just chill and enjoy the last few days of Uni. If you can, that is.

Page 150: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

The next day, Gemino throws a toga party. Harry is the only one shy enough to actually wear a toga. He has 8 outgoing points and is still the shyest in the house. >.<

Page 151: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Togas are for shy losers!”You know, you ruined about half my plans for you when you were born outgoing.

Page 152: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Haha, Harry’s wearing a toga!”“Loser!”“It’s a TOGA party!”“I can’t dance…”

Page 153: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Gemino invited Demelza because she knows her somehow. *ponders* Wait…now I remember. Gemino and Dem were childhood friends. Dem brought her home from school one day. “I never got to live here and put a portrait on the wall because you killed me.”I brought you back! Let it go!

Page 154: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Hi, Pleasure Sims! Wanna raise the party score?“Yay!”

Page 155: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Despite the fact that Mimi refused to roll the want to get engaged, I’m making her do it anyway.“Simon, we’ve had our ups and downs and lots of dream dates and I love you. Wanna get married?”

Page 156: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Yes, yes I do!”“Yay!”If that doesn’t raise the party score nothing will. And yes, Mimi gets engaged in her pajamas. What did you expect?

Page 157: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Well, at least someone got aspiration points for this. <3

Page 158: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

After the party, Harry invited Bella over.“Do you remember the last time we danced together?” Harry asked softly.“Yeah. It was at your family’s store.”“I stepped on your foot.”“And you nearly had a panic attack over it.” Bella laughed. “Yes, I definitely remember that.”

Page 159: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

He pulled her close. “Your hair smells nice. Like flowers.”“Thanks.”

Page 160: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“I remember after I stepped on your foot, I kissed you to make it better.”“It worked.”So he kissed her again. Bella noted that he was a little more sure, a little less shy. But still far shier than any other guy she was seeing.

Page 161: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Hi, Harry. Where you off to?“Final exam.”Final final exam?“Yup!”YAY!

Page 162: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Guess who graduated! And the first two guesses don’t count!

Page 163: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

YAYYYY! The H kids have finally graduated college!Which means…

Page 164: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

“Hi, everyone! It’s finally time for the Generation H heir poll! The Generation I heir poll will happen during the teen years, as per usual. Vote on boolprop.com or in June’s guestbook, but the latter is probably not likely because no one on the Exchange knows we’re still publishing because they’re dumb and didn’t join Boolprop!”

Page 165: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Our first candidate for heir is the eldest, Harry. Harry is a moralistic Family Sim with the LTW to have six grandchildren. Harry’s a Gemini, 4/8/9/7/1. Harry is engaged to my Simself’s daughter Belladonna. Harry is the typical if a bit overbearing older brother, isn’t quick to show emotion, very strong, and has a great desire to be heir. Harry received a cryptic prophecy, like his mother, from the creepy fortune teller lady about a poison flower, which he is not thinking about too much.

Page 166: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Our next candidate is the middle child, Hermione, called Mimi. Mimi is a Pleasure Sim who wants to be a Celebrity Chef, mostly for the celebrity part. Mimi is a Taurus, 7/10/1/10/2. She’s engaged to an artist named Simon. Mimi is very perky and carefree, and she loves to have fun. She’s also a bit dim with academics, but wise when it comes to people and relationships. Mimi wants to please everyone and doesn’t like people to be sad and try to comfort them. Mimi is also her sister Helena’s closes confidant.

Page 167: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Our last candidate is the youngest H kid, Helena. Helena is a Knowledge Sim who wants to be a Media Magnate at the top of the Journalism career. Helena is a Leo, 10/10/1/2/2. Helena is engaged to longtime family friend Sebastian Philtre, called Seb. Helena gets emotional very easily and has a tendency to overreact in the face of adversity. She is very dependent on her loved ones, and fears being alone. Helena is very gifted musically, she loves to sing and play instruments. She is very much in love with Seb.Vote wisely!

Page 168: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

So, it’s been a pretty crazy four years, huh?“So crazy, I want to leave. Like right now.”

Page 169: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Your wish is my command! Note: This doesn’t actually work. No simul-graduating for my H kids, aww. D:

Page 170: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Meh. Not too bad, Helena, but so not your style.

Page 171: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Aw, hell no. So not you, Mimi, not at ALL.

Page 172: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

Aw, hell no, part two. Just…no. Stop looking proud, Harry, you grew up in a ridiculous outfit.

Page 173: ABCs 35- The Emancipation of Mimi

And with that, the H kids leave college. So vote for your favorite in the heir poll and tune in next time for Chapter 36! Also check out my LiveJournal for Epic Behind the Scenes Post!
