Today I have come across one situation… where I felt that no
one other than Abhaya can support. Mr. K. Vigneswar, aged 21
years, studying Inter 2nd year brother of my colleague,
Raghavendra who just started his career at Capital IQ, is
suffering with blood cancer and badly in need of money for
treatment on coming Tuesday and his family is not in a position
to afford the cost of treatment. So, kindly consider this urgent
requirement and do some favour. I have attached the required
reports along with the estimated cost of surgery for your kind

On receipt of the mail Abhaya enquired in to further details of
case and the following are the facts:
The family back ground:
Father was a daily wage earner and now he is not in earning stage. Mother is house wife. He
has one elder brother Mr. Raghavendra Sagar MBA, who is the only bread winner for entire
family and two younger sisters who are studying Inter & Fifth class respectively.
Raghavendra just started his career with Capital IQ and earning Rs. 17.500/- PM at
Hyderabad.
The issue:
Vigneswar was diagnosed as Lymphoblastic Leukaemia
(Blood Cancer-level 2). Currently he is undergoing a
treatment in Basavatharakam Indo-American Cancer
Hospital, Banjara Hills. The treatment consists of
chemotherapy of 3 to 4 cycles. The estimated cost of entire
treatment certified by the said hospital is around
Rs.7,70,000/- (including post hospitalization expenses).
First cycle of treatment is completed and his response to
the treatment is good so far. Second cycle of treatment is
going to start. Now

Raghavendra, Nagaraju along with Raghavendra Sagar & his brother Vigneswar gained confidence
post visiting abhaya. Abhaya has provided them various avenues through which this Mission can be
accomplished and asked them whether they would like to put in their efforts in that direction. The

Miraculous recovery
Leelavathi's leg fractured... now
recovering
Leelavathi, who is pursuing her B.Sc., at
Anantapur, fell down while returning from
Hyderabad after attending abhaya Educare
Review meeting and her leg got fractured.
She has been sent to an Ortho Doctor at
Anantapur and her leg got bandaged for
21 days. With the bandage, she wrote her
final exams and she is fine now but
complaining little pain in her leg and she
met the doctor post exams. She is
recovering. -abhaya Team
abhaya stood besides Sowmya for health checkup
Sowmya, who is 3rd girl amongst 4 girls in the home belongs to a poor
family of Nalluru Vilage. She is otherwise able girl and with the help of
Sai Organisation's help she could get a Data Entry Job at KARVY,
Hyderabad. Since last couple of years, she is in touch with abhaya.
About an year back, she complained of stomachache and when sent to
a lady doctor, they informed that she is suffering from low
hemoglobin levels and also a small extra growth in the stomach. Since
then abhaya took care of this girl and provided all the needed medical
aid. More than Rs.5000/- has been spent by Abhaya for the last 12
months and now she is alright and she is attending job regularly and
further wrote her pending Inter subject. – abhaya Team

Sagar, a long time associate of abhaya brought Ravinder Singh from
Kalvakurthi seeking abhaya's help and guidance. Ravinder is fighting
with all odds in life with various issues on personal front and business
front. Whatever he does, it was unsuccessful. He is leading life by
doing small jobs provided by friends and well wishers here and there.
He is a man of values, respect and integrity… but god is little not
favorable to him in his life.
Last month his aged mother fell down and got fractured in hips. They
thought she would recover with minimum bandage… where as it went
on to operation in 2 months. The cost of entire episode was crossing
about Rs.80,000/-. Sagar who knows about Ravinder , brought him to
abhaya seeking probable help. Considering his monthly donation of
Rs.10,000/- PM, for such cases since last couple of years, abhaya
decided to help him and sanctioned Rs.40,000/- towards meeting the
surgery and post operative expenses.

“ H E A RT ” Educare Update
This is Chennaiah Vanguri, Sir after we meet in Hyderabad, I am
attending college regularly and preparing well for my final semester
project. There was campus drive in my college during last month
organized by Transdyne, Hyderabad and I wrote exam, the results will be
out on 7th March. Further abhaya Team advised me to apply job in IBM.
Mr.Harsha called me and guided me in regard to job and gave some
suggestions to get that job and accordingly I am trying to learn Java
basics for that job. Thank you for giving me a great opportunity and it is superb to have
abhaya supporting people like us and leading us to successful life – Chennaiah, Final

Srujana got placed in TBT Solutions, Hyderabad
I wish to share with you about my First Job experience with anhaya. With the kind reference of abhaya, I had been given an opportunity to associate myself with Truebyte Solutions, Hyderabad and I joined there in the month of January'12 as all my job trails post completing B.Tech were not successful. My training period was for 2 months and there is no trainer to train m e o n W i n d o w s P h o n e application, but TBT Team Leaders explained that what should be my approach in the training period. With lots of confidence I worked there in the team on my own initiative that too without any pay to prove myself.
I am happy to share with you after 2 months of observation, TBT offered me a Job with a salary of Rs.10,000/- PM. I am confident that such opportunities will really boost the morale of people like us who are in search of jobs. - Srujana

I am fine here and wrote my final exams very well and I am expecting
good marks in my IPE examinations as well. I am planning to attend
short term coaching for EAMCET with the support of my lecturer who
considering my situation at home, came forward to pay the coaching
fee. I am doing my best to become a Doctor and I am trying hard to get
a good rank in that common entrance test and further appearing in

experience with abhaya every month. I am happy to inform you that, I

15 months Management Training with kind reference of abhaya and I am

Srikanth qualified in IBPS Bank Clerical Exam.
I am fine and doing great. Hope all Abhayans are fine. I am happy to
share with you that with the encouragement and ABHAYA's precious
moral and financial support I have qualified in IBPS bank clerical
"written exam". Only interview round is left to get the job. SBI has
released a notification for 8000 clerical posts. I have applied for that job
even though i got selected in IBPS written test. Further in the mean time
I have attended to the interview for a job in "Aarogya Sri Trust" and got
selected. I joined in the new job on March 1st. I am under training now.
The work profile is good and I am able to save 2 hours per a day during the job timings. I
want to use those Idle hours for my preparation.-Srikanth J
I am CH.Leelavathi (GNM Student). Last month from 12th to 17th I
completed my clinical duties in the night shift. On 19th Feb, i
participated in the pulse polio campaign from the College. Later, on 21st
Feb we have sports day. I did not participate because i was suffering with
cold and fever. On 25th Feb students and staff belong to J. Eshwari Bai
School of Nursing and Memorial College of Nursing (B.Sc) conducted
camp fire for I yr students, we lit the lamps and we read the pledge. Dr. Geetha Reddy
along with Dr. Ramachandra Reddy gave speeches about the occasion. On 26th Annie
madam gave holiday to us. From 28th to 29th, I attended morning duty.
Dear Abhaya, I am kannabass from Vijayawada. Me and my family fine here, I hope you
all too are fine. It's all god's mercy upon our family, we are still alive. I am so thankful to
god for his goodness because he saved us all the time and arranged all the resources well
to survive my life here through you, relatives and friends. And I am so glad to write this.
The main thing about monthly report is, I successfully completed my all second mid
semester exams, lab internals, project as well as external lab practical exams. And now I
am going to prepare for 6th semester exam which starts from 15-03-2012 for about 10
days and I spent money as per plan and paid college fee Rs 2,050, semester exam fee Rs
530, house rent Rs 6,300, electricity charges Rs 520 medicine for mom Rs 500 and Rs
150 was used for my hospital expenses as I was suffering from fever after coming back
from Hyderabad. Right now my health is a bit all right, only two days I
went to work otherwise I could have gone some part time work to
arrange my financial sources. I beg you please don't miss understand
and pardon my late report and I am receiving phone calls. Other side I
am keep on trying to find a good job. My sibling's exams are going
(brother is in I Inter and sister is pursuing II Degree) I hope we shall

I am Thirupathaiah, member of abhaya EDUCARE TEAM. I Am fine and preparing well
for my examination with support of ABHAYA and am going to write my exams in the
month of May 2012. As of now I have no issues in OU hostel for my preparation. I am
giving assurance to ABHAYA that i will succeed in this attempt and clear my CA.
We have conducted .Net certification exam for 48 students in our college
through JKC and 36 among them were qualified. They will receive
certificates directly from Microsoft with CEO's signature. The college
management and JKC DDM felt very happy to know about this. They are
now providing me a free vouchure to attend the .Net exam in JKC office
at Hyderabad on 25th March'2012 as I successfully conducted this exam
in their colleges and I am also coming to write the exam. Thanks to

Abhaya Value Center – an Update
MEEKU THELUSA? (DO YOU KNOW ?): The program aimed at spreading the awareness
about Government Schemes, Policies, Acts, Bills and Public/current issues which are
relating/benefiting to the people to empower them in utilizing the
available schemes of the Government.
This is a live program, the listeners can call RJ with their
doubts/questions and also they can discuss / share about the topic. The
experts/Government officials will be called to be available for giving
possible solutions to the listeners.
For every 3 or 5 minutes there will be a patriotic or motivational song and
preferable time slot for the programme to be between 6pm to 10pm for
couple of hours.
TARGET Community: Students who are preparing for competitive exams, Unemployed
youth, common men, Government employees, Social activists etc.,
This the one program which really attracts all kinds of the people, the number of listeners will
be creased to AIR and it will get good recognition from the government. Every day RJ can
come up with new topic/subject with complete information. Submitted, the proposal for
positive consideration and approval.
Sri Satya Sai Organization conducted a seminar on “Soft Skills” at
vanastalipura. We (Satyaprasad, Satyanarayana, Narasimha,
Subrahmanyam, Srinivasul Reddy) attended the seminar. The seminar
was very interesting and we got to know many useful tips about
Communication Skills. We got an thorough understanding about TIME
Management and note realized the importance of EVEN ONE
MILLISECOND”. We also got benefited from the session on “Resume
Writing and Interview Skills”. We learnt the issues like, How to prepare a
Resume, How to face interviewer, what are company needs, confidence

I heart fully express my gratitude to abhaya Foundation, who created an identity for me by
publishing my story in the News letter, I feel so proud that my name has been reflected in it. I
attended abhaya Educare Review Meeting and got immensely benefited from the
deliberations of sister, Baby and I request Abhaya to conduct more such programs so that
each & every beneficiary can realize his own strength and power.
I learned nearly 50 unknown words which will be helpful for my drafting subject, mostly my
fear has been reduced as I keep practicing to communicate with others confidently. The four
P's (Plan, Prepare, Practice, and Present) I want to implement in my life because this is
powerful desire to achieve my goal. Comparing myself with the past, I improved a lot in
drafting, communication skills, studies etc., in the last 30 days.
On 25th February, 2012 Company Secretary Exam results are declared
and I could not clear my exam as expected though I gave my best. I
committed myself to find out the mistakes which I had been done in past,
I know only when I rectify them will lead me to success. I am thankful to
abhaya for giving me an opportunity to stay at abhaya value center and it
is a place where a person can mould his ability to step forward with
positive vibrations, peaceful environment having a value of

Anusha from TKR College of Engineering, Hyderabad who got inspired after reading
Eenadu Article called me and asked if they can go to Vasavi College of Engineering and
Technology and campaign for abhaya for 2 days in Acumen'2012 (Technical Festival).
I said that the team should have the permission from Principals of both the Colleges.
She informed us that she got HOD permission as of now and will get Principal
permission tomorrow. If everything is fine, she will need all the material used by “GET
abhaya”. She further informed us that there are couple of such tech
fests are in line from now in the weeks to come in city (Matrusri, CVR,
Srinidhi etc.,) so once they start doing this at Vasavi, they can continue
in other colleges too.
I spoke to her in detail and she said we can trust her, she asked if she
can meet abhaya team? Request the team to take this up if its good

What happened thereafter:
On receipt of information about conducting
Technical fest at Vasavi Engineering College,
Hyderabad we the students of TKREC,
Meerpet decided to make use of the
occasion to promote the activities of Abhaya
Foundation. We formed a team comprising
of 12 members from III ECE Class(J.Anusha,
U.Mounika, G.Mounika, N.Naga laxmi,
T.Rose Kumar, Ch.Praveen Kumar, T.Karthik,
Himanshu Mall, M.Jyostna, Ch.Naveen Kumar and Dinesh)
We approached HOD of EEE Branch, Vasavi College of Engg. & Tech. and sought
permission to set up abhaya stall. We reached college set up abhaya stall at a
prominent place. A banner depicting the logo of Abhaya foundation was displayed on
the top. No sooner the fest began and hundreds of
students started gathering in front of our stall. All of
them were very curious to know about abhaya and its
work. GET members then started explaining the
students about How Abhaya foundation was established,
noble people behind, objectives, various Activities taken
up so far, poor students getting shelter and education
and future plans of foundation etc.
Throughout the fest, the flow of students was continuous at our stall and all the team members actively involved .Meantime we distributed Brochures , complimentary gifts and other material to the gathering. We also clarified various queries posed by the students about our foundation. Astonishingly within 3 hours we could collect Rs.1700/- donation from the students by conducting fun games for noble
cause from young engineers who realized and appreciated the work done by abhaya.
We made use of the Valedictory Session and Dinesh effectively addressed the gathering and explained precisely about Abhaya Foundation. Overwhelming response received at the fest for our foundation inspired and motivated our team members to actively involve in such activities in future. - J Anusha, III ECE, TKRCET.

Surya, III B Tech student from CVSR College of Engineering. I happened to go to Acumen'12 at Vasavi College of Engineering on 17th of this month, and there I came to see some students collecting donations by conducting some funny events. I am very much inspired by the way they are contributing to the poor and disabled. I also wanted to join as a volunteer in your organization and want to serve with what I can to some extent. While many well wishers responding to the Mission, abhaya thought it is needed to have a social audit for the case on hand before we formally go and do the needful and arranged to send couple of volunteers to look in to the details.
In the mean time, Shobha called abhaya and informed that her months old baby is seriously ill due to loose motions. Abhaya arranged to admit the child at Mamata Hospital with the help of abhaya well wishers over there. Spent near to Rs. 4,000/- for the same. For the last couple of months Shobha was given Rs.1,500/- cash to meet her survival and further Rs.2,000/- spent for travel expenses and others for volunteers.

We are on our way back to Hyderabad by train. We may reach by 12 AM. The kid is under proper treatment and the Doctor is humane and cooperative. It may take at least 4 days for the kid to come to normalcy, as per the Doctor. Ashok has been of great help and promised to take care till her discharge. So we are coming back.
3 of us went to the place she lives n made discreet enquires. The total opinion all of us is not positive, we made sincere efforts for helping her. She is highly emotional, ambitious and not practical. As per neighbors, her husband visits her frequently even now. Overal, she is not transparent with us on many things. Since yesterday, she fought with Mamata hospital staff and took her baby without listening to anyone, admitted at another hospital and today with this hospital too… in front of us, she started fighting. We had to convince the Doctor not to discharge and he agreed on our persuasion. She said she studied B.Sc.,(Nursing) but didn't complete it and she was all along complaining on nurses stating that they are not giving proper treatment. She expects instant results and help in every aspect and very impatient, if not done to her liking. 70 years old Chandrakala… an optimist to lead a family of 10!Chandrakala (70) an elderly lady who lost her husband and living
with her 4 sons and 2 daughters at Isnapur near Patancheru,
Hyderabad. 3 sons are living more dead than alive due to Muscular
Dystrophy disease and the daughter is deaf & dumb staying with
mother as her husband left her and went off. Only one son &
daughter is in normal condition. All of them (10) put together
earning about Rs.6,000/- PM.
But, it was amazing to see the light of optimistic attitude in the
eyes of her sons… who are aware of their inability. Ravi one among
3 sons though cannot attend to his own work… got inspiration to
live for those who are facing similar health disorders and started a
small NGO, couple of years back, doing his bit with the help of well
wishers and donors.
Ravi's habit is to collect all the information relating to NGO's
whenever their stories published in news papers. It was on 1st
January, he happened to read abhaya story in Eenadu Sunday
book and he at once noted the contact number in his note book.
There after he took 2 months time to call abhaya. The team called
them to visit abhaya (to test their passion), They came by an Auto and it was great inspiration to see their positive attitude.
Abhaya enquired the situation and also touch based with couple of NGO's who helped them before. Abhaya team listed out all
possible needs as follows:
1.Repairing the existing shop in front of their house, where they are running a road side business to earn lively hood.2.Providing them tailor made wheel chairs which would ease their moving.3.Assisting them, in setting up Tiffin center in the existing shop to increase their earning.All the above can be done without any difficulty in next couple of months. Abhaya is sending Volunteers to enquire about the real time
situation over there in the village and on receipt of positive feedback, all the above would be done in a phased manner. In all abhaya may
have to spend about Rs.50,000/- - abhaya Team

can say I'm not fit to lead this now. I've
changed a lot since, instead of feeling good
and happy doing the good work, I am
feeling tensed and frustrated. In this
situation, I'll not be able to contribute well.
I need some time to rediscover myself. I
am not being one at mind, heart and deed.
I don't know why this has happened
exactly, but it is my fault. I'm feeling very
depressed and failing to concentrate on
regular works. I hope God would help me
in rediscovering myself and being the
