ACA is committ ed to glorifying God by discipling students in a loving community that pursues excellence
as we partner with parents in Christian education.
We serve an amazing God! Over the course of the past year we have seen Him accomplish great things at ACA. We began the year with over 100 new students and some wonderful new staff members who all joined us on this journey to further Christian education in Palm Beach County. Our mission was clear and our team was excited and focused on accomplishing it to the fullest extent possible. One of the questions we asked the staff at the end of the school year was, “How did we do in accomplishing our mission?”
Atlantic Christian Academy is committed to glorifying God by discipling students in a loving community that pursues excellence as we partner with parents in Christian education.
We gave ourselves an honest assessment and agreed that it was an exciting year of growth while building relationships in a loving c o m m u n i t y . T h e t e a m focused on strengthening the discipleship of students by stressing the integration of biblical principles into classroom teaching and

pursuing student discipleship at a deeper level. In our High School, weekly small groups were begun, our 1st “Honor” retreat took place, and powerful weekly chapel services continued to impact both our secondary and elementary students. We purchased new curriculum in several areas and brought in two academic leaders to work with the staff on instructional techniques, differentiated instruction for various learning styles, and the further introduction of technology into the teachers’ presentation of materials. This enabled us to make progress in curriculum and instruction as we focused on pursuing excellence in academics.
ACA continued to improve the overall communication to our community with the introduction of Renweb, which al lowed teachers to communicate more frequently and effectively with our families. Visits to our website and other social media have also improved the communication and sense of school spirit within our school. Overall, we have seen continued progress in the spiritual and academic development of the children God has entrusted to us while partnering with parents in Christian education.
On the Horizon
Have a safe and BLESSED summer!

We are defi nitely on a mission and we are committed to fulfilling it as a long-term pursuit of the vision that God has given us for this school. As we look back, we have a lot to be thankful for, but we are even more excited as we look ahead to this next school year. Though much was accomplished, there is still much to be done. This summer will see continued changes to the schoo ls facilities, our instructional curriculum, our technology and communication, but most importantly to our growing student population and staff .
With the growth anticipated for next year, we are seeing the addition of a second class of all elementary grade levels and more than 100 new students already committed for the 2015-16 school year. This growth is driving the need for new staff hiring and the strengthening of academic offerings throughout the school with a special emphasis on the High School in the areas of English, Math, Science, and Bible. We will be providing some exciting updates as we move through the summer but in case you missed the

Una celebración internacional! The 5th grade celebrated International
Day by representing a country and sharing information about it to
their class. Many students chose to represent their own countries of origin,
some of which included Jamaica, Cuba, and Venezuela! After sharing
their report and participating in a parade through the school, the 5th
grade feasted on foods unique to their country. What a great day!

Our Kindergarten Classes recited scripture and performed so beautifully to the delight of their families during the last Elementary chapel of the year. It has been wonderful to see the progress and development of these talented (and smart!) youngsters. We are so proud of them all... welcome to 1st grade! Thank you, Mrs. Maikkula, Mrs. Gill and Mrs. Walker for helping to train up these children in the way they should go... Proverbs 22:6
The Preschool K4 Graduation program showcased some of
what these wonderful children have learned:
not only did they know their pledges (do you?), sing, and

Eighth Grade Goes to Washington Our 8th grade Washington, D.C. trip was a great bonding and learning experience. Students anticipated it all year long! They were able to spend a week touring our nation’s capital while enjoying this amazing city. From the National Archives, to the Lincoln Memorial, to the Smithsonian Museums and touring the Pentagon, our students had a busy schedule taking in the beautiful sights of D.C. Ricky Heers, Andrew Swanson, Hannah Federico and Simon Sandler had the special honor of participating in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery. It was a breathtaking experience! In addition, we were able to tour the batt lefi elds of Gett ysburg and visit the Amish Country. This trip truly was an unforgett able experience that our students will carry with them forever! - Mrs. Gonzalez
