INTRODUCCIÓN

Se presenta en este catálogo el programa de fabricación de accesorios para soldar MECEWELD utilizados exclusivamente para conectar a tubería de instrumentación. Estos accesorios son idóneos para el montaje de circuitos a gran presión con alto grado de responsabilidad sometidos a las más duras y variables condiciones de trabajo.

La parte principal de todo accesorio MECEWELD es su boquilla o enchufe de conexión mecanizada especialmente con rigurosas tolerancias.

Los accesorios para soldar MECEWELD han sido determinados analíticamente a partir de los requisitos generales del código ASME y las normas ASME B31.1, ASME B16.11 y ASME B16.34.

Creemos que este catálogo puede ser de gran ayuda para el técnico en el proyecto de circuitos, por cuanto se adjunta una completa información sobre el comportamiento de estos accesorios a distintas temperaturas de trabajo. Para cualquier consulta nuestro departamento técnico está a disposición.

INTRODUCTION

In this catalogue we proudly present our production programme covering our new line of MECEWELD instrumentation welding fittings which are used exclusively for instrumentation piping connections. These accessories are ideal, in making up high pressure circuits which must be absolutely reliable when subjected to the most rigorous and variable working conditions.

The most inportant part of any MECEWELD fitting is the socket weldend connection which is carefully machined within strict tolerances.

MECEWELD welding fittings have been analitically designed; based on the general requirements of the ASME code as well as ASME B31.1, ASME B16.11 and ASME B16.34. standards.

We think this catalogue could be of considerable assistance to technical personnel in plotting instrumentation circuits; therefore, full information has been included as to the behaviour of these accessories at different working temperateres. Our technical department is available to answer any questions you may have.

APPROVA BY INSPECTION AGENCIES

When previously agreed upon, we will accept orders providing for reception or acceptance by an independent inspection agency or by the customer’s own Inspection Department.

INFORMACIÓN TÉCNICAMATERIALESLos accesorios para soldar MECEWELD de fabricación normal, se construyen en dos tipos de materiales:

Acero Inoxidable grado 316, acero carbono y latón.

Bajo pedido fabricamos en otros materiales. Tales como Inox. 304, Hastelloy, Inconel, etc...

ACABADOSLos accesorios de acero inoxidable se suministran decapados y pasivados y los de acero carbono fosfatados.

TUBERÍA

Los accesorios MECEWELD, se utilizan para soldar a tubería de dos tipos de dimensiones.

- Dimensiones en pulgadas, desde 1/4”O.D. (6.35 m.m.) a 1”O.D. (25.4 m.m.).- Dimensiones en milimetros, desde 6 a 20 m.m.

Bajo pedido pueden suministrarse accesorios para otras dimensiones de tubería. Para conectar tubería negra Pipe (ASME B36.10 M, ASME B36.19M) a tubería calibrada (Tubing), se ha previsto un adaptador mixto que permite efectuar esta variante (ver página 8).

PRESIÓN DE SERVICIO

Cada presión de servicio está indicada en el apartado correspondiente al accesorio y calculadas para un campo de temperaturas desde - 20°F a 100°F (-29°C a 38°C).

Las condiciones de trabajo para otras temperaturas se pueden determinar cómodamente a partir de la ecuación siguiente:

PT = Presión de servicio a la temperarura deseada.PN = Presión de servicio del accesorio según su apartado y referencia correspondiente.K = Coeficiente de corrección según tablas 1, 2 y 3.

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONMATERIALSStandard production MECEWELD welding fittings are made in two types of material:

316 Stainless steel and carbon steel.

On special order, we can furnish in other materials, such as 304 stainless steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, etc...

SURFACE FINISHStainless steel fittings are delivered pickled and passivated; and in carbon steel are subjected to a phosphate treatment.

PIPINGMECEWELD fittings are used for welding to piping of either one of the two following types of dimensional standards:

- Dimensions in inches, from 1/4” O.D. (6.35 m.m.) To 1” O.D. (25.4 m.m.).- Dimensions in millimetres, from 6 to 20 m.m.

Fittings for othg dimensions can be supplied upon demand.An adaptater has been designed to enable gas pipe to be connected to millimetric tubing (see page 8).

Notas:(1) No emplear los accesorios roscados a temperatura superior a 1000°F (538°C).

(2) Para los accesorios en acero inoxidable grado 316 que la temperatura de servicio pueda superar 1000°F (538°C) deberá indicarse en el pedido.

(3) No se recomienda el empleo prolongado del acero carbono a temperaturas superiores a 800°F (427°).

WORKING PRESSURES

Working pressure are shown in the section corresponding to each fitting and are calculated for a temperature range from -20°F to 100°F (-29°C to 38°C).

Working conditions for other temperatures can easily be determined from the following equation:

PT = Working pressure at the desired temperature.PN = Working pressure of the fitting according to its section and corresponding reference.K = Correction coefficient according to tables 1, 2 and 3.

Notes:(1) Don´t use threaded fittings at temperature higher than 1000°F (538°C).

(2) For fittings in stainless steel grade 316 in case that service temperature de able to exceed 1000°F (538°C), it should be indicated in the order.

(3) We do not recommend using these fittings at temperatures

Un extremo de este accesorio está formado por la conexión normal MECEWELD mientras que por el otro se puede utilizar indistintamente para conectar un tubo al accesorio con soldadura a tope (tube butt weld) o como conexión macho en soldadura por encaste (tube socket weld).

Unión reducción para conectar dos tuberías del mismo tipo (Tubing) pero con diámetros distintos.

Reducing union for connecting two tubes of the same type but of different diameters.

One end of this fittings is a standard MECEWELD connection while the other end can be used either to connect tubing to thefitting with a tubing weld or as male connection with a tubing socket weld.

Un extremo de este accesorio está formado por la boca conexión MECEWELD (Tube), mientras que por el otro puede conectarse a tubería de gas (Pipe) utilizándose indistintamente para conectar un tubo al accesorio por soldadura a tope (Pipe butt weld), o como conexión macho en soldadura por encaste (Pipe Socket weld).

One end of this fittings is a standard MECEWELD connection while the other end can be connected to gas piping. It can be used either to connect a pipe to the fitting by means of a pipe butt weld, or as a male connection in a pipe socket weld.
