ACE, a key component of the broadband network

ACE countries connected for the first time to a submarine cable no longer have to rely on expensive satellite connections and :

Provides direct access amongst African countries connected by ACE, thereby eliminating transit charges

Reduces international telecommunication costs

Access to the most advanced internet and mobile services (IPTV, mobile TV and other value added services)

For countries already connected to a submarine cable, ACE :

Improves connectivity Secures traffic Diversifies routes

The broadband communications development represents an opportunity of economic growth for the whole continent which is among the world’s most rapidly growing economic regions.
