technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its
members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications,
conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
IEEE Student branch at Poornima University (STB 1014) has started functioning
from July 2016 with strength of more than 80 members. Since its inception three
general meetings have been conducted along with a meeting for office-bearers'
selection. The first activity under IEEE Student Branch "Three Days National
Workshop on Biomedical Signal Processing and Health Care Applications" has
been organized during 23-25 July 2016. IEEE students branch at Poornima
university is very active and many more training program and events are frequently
organized under IEEE students branch.

The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non profit
making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. First
started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it
was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education" in 1968 with a view to
enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technical education. The main goal is
to serve as a common agency for stimulating and guiding its members to formulate
the general goals and responsibilities of technical education for the service of
mankind and the advancement of general welfare.
