Transport and discharge of many bulk powders is frequently accomplished by a
fluidizationprocesscommonlyknownas“airslidesystems”.Dust issubjectedtoa
finelydistributedairflowwhichreducesthedriftangleandletthepowderflowlikea
liquid.Airisforcedthroughadenselywovenfabricwhichbreaksupthepressurized
air intotinyanduniformflowpointsandpassthroughthemediaunderthepowder.
Thefluidizedmaterialflowsatlowanglesinsidetheairslideandiseasilyconveyedor
discharged.
