WELCOME TO A NEW SCHOOL YEAR! It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to a new and excing school year. `Iolani Food Service strives to provide the students with a variety of healthy , nutrious offerings to enhance their ability to learn. Beyond sasfying appetes, we believe in building character, serving and nourishing the enre student- mind, body and heart. We connue to build on innovated chef-led and nutrious menus. Our focus is Food, we create culinary experiences ulizing locally grown, seasonal, and regional ingredients, offering an array of dishes that our Iolani Ohana love. We are commied to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the changing seasons. With our Local First commitment, we provide as much local produce and products to our students as possible. We connue our Plate at the Café- an all natural, organic when possible, opon that replaces the Type A school lunch every Wednesday. Our Pono Plates highlight our commitment to using Local First Products whenever possible. Currently, 30% of our daily produce is local and we strive to increase that percentage by working with farmers and local partners. Please keep an eye out for our Local First logo! Our team of talented chefs dedicate themselves to ensure every bit is a delicious bite. In addion to our Local First commitment, we are strongly rooted in a path to a beer tomorrow thru sustainability. Reducing waste at every step is important to provide the students of `Iolani a beer way to learn and to live. We have an unwavering dedicaon to creang exceponal student experiences that result in increased personal health, as well as sustainable environment and strong communies in which we live and serve. Through our efforts on Recycling, Compostable To-Go products, and other waste reducon efforts, we are able do our part for a beer tomorrow. variety of healthy , nutritious offerings to enhance their ability to learn. Beyond satisfying appetites, we believe in building character,

Paying for lunches or snacks is easy since we have a voluntary prepaid account that you can set up for your child through Sodexo and our

partner program MealTime. This eliminates the need for students to carry meal tickets or cash and will speed up service

Payment Types:

You may preload your child’s account by sending a check or cash to the food service office along with the Sodexo Payment Form. This is a

debit card system where all payments are loaded directly into your child’s account.

You may also pay online through www.mymealtime.com There is a convenience fee to utilize this service.

Both the Sodexo payment Form and instructions on access and use of MealTime can be found at www.iolani.org/sodexo

Online payments will begin starting Monday August 5, 2019.

For Grades K-3

An extra ID card will be kept in your child’s classroom and will be used for Type A meals only. If they are getting school lunch, their cards will be

delivered to the food service office before the meal begins and returned directly to the classroom..

For Grades 4-12

We will utilize your child’s ID card as the vehicle to purchase meals.

Restricting purchases for Lower School

For grades K-6, if you would like us to restrict after school purchases, please initial the bottom of the Sodexo Payment Form.

For grades 4-6, if you would like to restrict your child to purchase Type A lunch only, which includes an entrée, starch, milk and salad bar, please

initial the bottom Type A only portion of the Sodexo Payment Form. Please keep in mind they will be able to purchase after school snacks if only

the Type A portion of the form is initialed. For parents who restrict their

child to Type A lunch only, and would like to allow their child to pur-

chase other items, cash is still accepted. If your child has no restrictions,

you may wish to counsel him/her regarding dietary selections.

Leftover Money

Deposited money left on your student’s ID card at the end of the year

will be transferred over to the next academic year until Senior year. No

money will be refunded. During the summer months, our Food

locations will only take cash and summer school meal plans, you may

not utilize your student ID for payment.
