St. Monica School in Methuen is looking for a part-time Special Education Teacher. The Special Education educator will work with individual or small groups of students to reinforce areas of the curriculum taught by the primary content teacher; or, to work on developing the skills necessary for students to access the curriculum at grade level (i.e., literacy skills, numeracy skills, language skills, organizational skills, retention skills, social skills, etc) per the IEP or 504. The position is part-time 15 hours per week. The position requires:
Experience navigating and implementing IEPs & 504s. Ability to assess and collect data and supporting documents Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution Ability to work independently Commitment to communication with parents and classroom teacher
