This is the cover of Britney Spears limited album: My Prerogative. The title and name of the artists is presented in the form of a stamp which could show that she is authoritative.

However the colour of the font is white which stands out from the dark colours that are present on the cover. The image of Britney Spears catches the eyes of the audience as she

is wearing minimal black cloths. The colour black contrasts with the silver, plain background.

As a result of this being a limited edition album, there is a texture on the album making it look as

if it is special and different from all the

others. The picture on this album not only

shows that has a risky image and also to

encourages girls to be happy and confident

with their bodies. This attracts her established fan base. This album is a step up from the rest of her albums which are shown inside the album

and are shown to portray her as an

innocent women. This CD cover indicates that

she has matures through her costume

choice and the expression shown but also is shown in her

music.

Once the album is opened and the CD’s are removed, we are presented with two images of Britney Spears and also a digipak. The two images indicate that she is a brand and is not a

part of a group and therefore she is the only one presented on the album cover, its all about her. On the left hand side there is a compartment where the digipak is held . Even though

most of it is covered by the pocket, we are still able to see the head of Britney Spears which catches our attention.

In the middle of the CD album case, there is an extreme close-up shot os her on the telephone looking out past the camera. This indicates that she is rebellious as she is not

looking into the camera. It also shows that she is used to photos being taken of her as she looks confident in it. This applies to the hot on the left, however along with this, her

expression is shown by her posture. In this long shot, she is rubbing her hand on her body but in this image she is looking away from the camera with a microphone in her hand.

Before the album is opened fully, there is a collage of her old albums. By having his the artist can show to her audience her journey that has lead her to where she is today. In

chronicle order it is apparent that she has changed as an artist and has matured. The first image of her album looks like a young teenager who is glowing with innocence but as time goes on her costumes evolve as does her attitude and the way she conducts herself. This

leads us to this album which in comparison is a leap from her first. By including these pictures, it is obvious that Britney Spears wants her fans to evolve and grow along side

her.

On the back of the CD, there is a list of songs that feature on the album. Along with this, there is also separate list for the limited addition song which only feature on this album. The list runs along the left side of the album which makes it easy to read and helps the

fans locate the song they want to play, quickly. There is also the link to the artists website

and for the record label company. The

logos of all the companies that helped her to

release the album which is a marketing technique for them. Along with all of this,

the barcode if presented on the

back to aid the shop for them to know

what stock has been sold. The silver

background of the album is continuous

throughout the album even when its

opened so it looks the same by having the sam layout, font

colour and style.

Once the album is opened, there is a compartment for the digipak. The front of the digipak is a replica of the cover of the CD album. Inside the digipak, a journalist is

writing about Britney Spears journey and how she has reached this album. It includes her previous albums such as …BABY ONE MORE TIME. It also includes how she became a famous singer. By including all of this information, it is a way for her fans to connect

with there idol and it also allows them t build up a relationship with her. They are able to understand how Britney Spears became the singer we now know her as and allows

them to join her journey as she continues to evolve. The background is

a light purple colour which

contrasts with the white font. Britney

Spears also features on this

page posing differently in all

four images. Although it is hard to see, throughout

the page she is removing her shirt expressively and dramatically. The

long-shots are place

chronologically on the double page

spread.

On the next page, we are presented with a mid-shot of Britney Spears. In this picture, she is wearing a cropped top with jeans and is holding onto he belt in a sexual way which attracts attention. Along side this there is a list of songs with

small paragraphs beneath it. These paragraphs consist of the information regarding the production and recording process. For example, The name of the background singer, the editors and the name of the producers. This continues throughout the digipak with all of her songs that feature on the album, however the images differ. In the middle of the digipak, there is a collage of Britney Spears merchandise such as a T-shirt from concert, album covers, CD, badges and many more. By including this, they are synergising to not only sell CD’s but also concerts and Britney related

items.

Finally, on the last double page, there is a section that is dedicated to Britney Spears thanking her fans. This also has her signature which indicates that it is

written by her. For many, this is the most appealing section of the digipack as it is a personal message to her fans. By including this, she is not only building a

rapport but it allows her followers to feel close to her and along with this, and opportunity to thank all the people that have been behind her whilst she has evolved. Below this there are credits to those people who worked behind the

scenes in order to made the album look professional and also to ensure that she adopts her unique style and look such as make-up artists and art directors which

shows she is thankful to them and also a caring and selfless artist.

The right hand side is a collection of current photos of the singer wearing different cloths and location. There is also a collage of photos in the same format as this on the first page. By including this, the fans are able to idolise her and the different

use of shots and styles supports this.
