NME Masthead of the magazine is red, this is consistent with all the other issues of the magazine. There's a colour scheme involved with this.

The barcode is here as everything must need one, they have put the price and the barcode in the bottom corner so that it doesn’t look like it is part of the magazine, plus it will also stop you from seeing the price.

The main image is of the band/ artists that is the main talking point of the magazine. There is probably a double page spread on this and the cover will make some people buy it as it has they’re favourite band/artist on it.

This is the masthead of the magazine, it is the thing will give it an identity.
