Best and biggest story in the centre of the front cover

All headlines are in bold red so that they stand out

The contact information and address are located at the side of the newsletter cover, so people do not have to go looking for the information if they need it

All the important information is on the front of the newsletter along with catchy pictures. All the other stories are around the outside of the front cover, so people can read all the important stories without having to turn any pages.

Orange and yellow colour scheme… Pink logo… Blue title

On this front cover, the title stands out from the rest of the cover. This is important as when people pick up the magazines they know what it is for. The top of the magazine is in a different shade of orange that makes it stand out. The year is in basic white, this is to make it look professional, but still be noticeable.

The picture on the cover is of a pencil being sharpened, this fits in the with school theme. Also, the colours of the pencils, sharpener and table fit in with the colour scheme also, so that it does not look odd.

Page 4: School Magazines Analysis

This front cover is different to the rest as the rest as this cover is like a proper magazine, with a title that

stands out and only page references on the front.

The title is blue and has a “speeding” effect on it which makes

it stand out more. The picture in the middle is also different as it is only one picture, this is different because usually

they have multiple pictures relating to different news stories within the

school

Page 5: School Magazines Analysis

The contents page has a slightly different colour scheme than the front cover; the top part of the page is still a different colour (In this case it matches the front cover to show

it is following on)Important stories are on the left with

pictures, when just the normal stories are on the right hand side with bold numbers so

that you can clearly see what the numbers are. A downside is that the titles of the

pages are not labelled by the story on them; they seem to have made up names that only

closely link to the story on the corresponding page.

There are pictures at the top of the page with the title underneath in a different colour so that it stands out from the rest of the text

on the page

Page 6: School Magazines Analysis

This contents page is too basic. The text is not effective and the background image is not suitable for the school theme. Some of the text is unreadable because it is in white. This contents page is not made professionally. The actual pages labelled are too basic and people would not know what was on them pages if they were to look at them

Page 7: School Magazines Analysis

This contents page has a title that stands out and is the first thing you see when you look at this

page. The pictures look good, although on a couple, the whole picture is

not shown and therefore we cannot see what is going on in it

The page numbers and descriptions are noticeable and laid out in an appropriate way

The colour scheme is not bad but the theme of flowers in the

background does not fit it with the school them
