I hope everybody has signed up & registered for their classes. I had to make some difficult decisions this year—if only I could be in two classes at the same time! But my choices are made, & now I’m ready to paint! Again this year, Chris & Laura from Cupboard Distrib- uting will be bringing their shop to retreat so that we can pick up those painting essentials, and I’m sure Chris will have lots of new ideas to share. Remember, if you need particular supplies, you can place an order through April 1 and Chris will deliver it to you at retreat. How easy is that? At our March meeting, Melanie was elected to fill the remaining months of the treasurer’s term. Thank you to all members who made an extra effort to come & vote. It was wonderful to see both Anne Dick & Carol Cole back & looking great! Don’t forget, we do not have a regular meeting in April due to retreat. See you at retreat!! Susan

Program Report Emily Stamm, VP Programs April is here! So much excitement as we plan for retreat, warmer weather, longer daylight, flowers-I am happy for Spring! Since our retreat is in April, we will not be having a meeting in April. Please plan ahead for our meeting in May. Last month, on March 9th, our meeting was a good one with Peggy Hermes teaching an owl painted on a small paver stone. Thank you so much, Peggy for teaching such a clever project. I know that everyone enjoyed your class! We are very lucky to have such talent in our group that we have such good classes with our meetings! Anne Dick will be teaching at our May 18th meeting-(this is the 3rd Sunday because Mothers day is celebrated on the 2nd Sunday-May 11th). The project is a 7x3 paper Mache box, painted with a black stroke design. The project is very elegant and it is truly a great project for practicing all of your strokes! As most of you know, Anne Dick is an excellent teacher-and an expert in stroke work! Anne has a list of supplies in this newsletter, so sign up today! The class will cost $9.00-please send your class fee to me when you sign up. I have just a few who have registeredplease look for the photo/registration form in this newsletter. I hope that all of you have a wonderful time at retreatI have a date with my grandson in Nevada, so I will have to miss Retreat this year!!

Thank you for all! Happy painting! WAYS AND MEANS Melanie Wilmhoff

We had two surprise gift bags to raffle off this month. Jo Ann Sharpshair and Sandie Tieman were the lucky winners. We collected $38 from the raffle, but we owed $5 to Peggy Hermes for the nametag drawing in January and another $5 went to Jo Ann Heurich for wearing her nametag this month. We had ornaments turned in for the Christmas Raffle by Mary Galioto. That makes 11 members who have turned them in so far this year. I know its still early in the year, but please get your ornaments or baskets on your priority list and get them done! The earlier you turn them in, the more chances you will have to win the Member Incentive prize.

Retreat is April 4th, 5th and 6th and we will have a large raffle there. The raffle prizes are very nice and unique! Im sure you would love to win several!!! If you are unable to attend and would like to buy chances on the raffle, please contact me or any other Retreat Committee member and well help you out. Thanks! Melanie Wilmhoff
