Please remember in your prayers the newly departed servant of God David Macko who reposed in the Lord on January 12 and was buried from the church on January 19. Also, the servant of God Charlle Alfrey, father of our parishioner Belinda Weaver, who reposed in the Lord on January 17.

Please remember in your prayers the handmaiden of God Mary Quidort who is recuperating at home following a recent fall that broke several ribs. She is on the road to recover, but the prayers sure help!

At the Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, January 16th, the BOT decided to postpone the Chili Cook Off until NEXT WEEK – January 27th because of the uncertainty of the weather that was being reported in the middle of the week.

Attention all Sunday School Teachers. There will be a meeting during coffee hour on Sunday, January 27th. Please be sure to stick around, we have a few important decisions to make about our Lenten Project(s).

Please save the date of Sunday, February 17th for the Annual Parish Meeting at Woodside. It is important to remember that this is YOUR church, and this Annual Meeting is vital for keeping all parishioners up-to-date with the financial happenings of the church.

Once again, Yurch Funeral Home has graciously donated the Saint Tikhon’s Monastery 2019 Lectionary Wall Calendars for our parishioners. They will be available in the Church Lower Level for the next few weeks, starting on January 13. Please take yours (and any others you can deliver) to save the church on postage.

Choir Rehearsals will resume their Thursday schedule this week. Rehearsals are held EVERY OTHER THURSDAY at 7pm in the Church. Upcoming dates are: Thursday, January 24; Thursday, February 7.

We've designed a pre-Valentine's Day couples date night for all parents of Halos (ages toddler through 9). Drop your kids off in the Church Basement at 6 PM and enjoy a date night alone with your valentine. Volunteers from the Senior R Club will care for our Halos while you get some time off. Be back for pick up at 8 PM. Happy early Valentine’s Day! Check out our updated FB page (Archangel Michael Halos) or contact Sarah at 330-592-7153 with questions or to RSVP.

Each Sunday, we light 12 7-Day Candles in the church. The Seven-Branch Candelabra behind the Altar, 2 Reliquary, 2 Tetrapod & 1 Hanging above the Royal Doors. By donating one of these in honor or memory of a loved one, you help offset this expense. If you are interested in purchasing a 7-Day Candle for any reason, please fill out an envelope at the candle desk or contact the church office.

Orthodox 101 will be held on Monday, January 21 at 7pm and Monday, January 28th.

This week, Fr. John will have Adult Education classes on Tuesday, January 22 at 7pm and Thursday, January 24 at 10am. The topic is CANDLES. Fr. will focus on the history of candles and their use in the church. This IS NOT a series – so please don’t feel like you can only attend if you’ve been before. The classes are typically designed with a specific topic in mind and allow for anyone to attend without prior attendance.
