ENGINEERING CONSULTANT FOR PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT AND
CONCEPTUAL DRAWING AND MASTER PLAN SERVICES.
The Executive officer, Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Temple Kancheepuram desires to
Construct Yatri Niwas and other infrastructure facilities in the available land of 16.50 acres
At Kancheepuram and invites tender for the Selection of Architect and Engineering
Consultant who can undertake the responsibility for the preparation of Feasibility report and
Conceptual drawings and Master Plan. The Architect should meet the following minimum
Qualification criteria as on 01/01/2016.
1) Should have done Comprehensive Consultancy for Architectural and Engineering services involving preparation of feasibility report, conceptual drawings and master Plan, development of detailed drawings for a hotel project during last three years.
2) Should have established in house Resources and provided all the Design, Engineering and Construction services from concept to project commissioning on the continued basis for the last three years.
3) Should have Experience in preparation architectural drawing and design of high storied building (minimum five floors) at least two projects during the last three years and the project must have provision for Auditorium, Library, Food Court activities.
4) Should have an annual turnover of one crore in any one of the last three financial years in consultancy work alone.

PROJECT BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Executive Officer, Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Temple Kancheepuram proposes to
take up construction of Yatri Niwas and other infrastructure facilities at Kanchipuram
near Arulmigu Ekambaranathar temple.
The Consultants shall prepare Feasibility report and Conceptual drawings and Master
Plan for the proposed Construction of Yatri Niwas and other infrastructural facilities near
Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Temple, Kancheepuram temple City to accommodate 500
persons. An extent of about 16.5 acres of land is earmarked and readily available for
this purpose near Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Temple, Kancheepuram which includes 5
to 6 acres for future expansion.
The above Yatri Niwas. will accommodate Admin building, cottages, rooms etc for the
pilgrims as detailed below and other facilities such as ATM, Audio visual program
theatre , book stall, Guides consultation space, forex, high end public convenience etc.
which will suite foreigners also .

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Proposals are invited from reputed Consultants at National level for rendering services
as Architect and Engineering Consultant for the preparation of feasibility report
Conceptual drawing and Master Plan and Rough cost estimate for the Proposed
construction of Yatri Niwas and other facilities at Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Temple
Kancheepuram under Asian development bank aided project.
.SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS:
1. The tender shall be submitted in a single cover by furnishing their credentials to
satisfy the prequalification criteria and their quote in the format provided in this
document and cover super scribed as tender for the selection of Architect and
Engineering Consultant for the construction of Yatri Niwas at Kancheepuram.
On the day of opening the tender cover will be opened and the details furnished will be
evaluated with reference to prequalification criteria and the lowest tender will be
decided.
ii) Over-writing should be avoided. Correction, if any should be made by neatly crossing
out, initialling, dating and rewriting.
iii) The same should reach to the submission address on or before the time and date
stated specified. Any Proposal received after the closing time for submission shall be
rejected.
2. The tenderers are required to submit their sealed tenders before 4 pm on 21.1.2016
and the tender will be opened on the same day at 4.30 pm.
3. The lowest (L1) consultant will be invited to make a presentation in front of the
duly carrying out modifications as may be necessary including revised cost
estimate if required.
f) To prepare feasibility study and finalize the report after discussion with the client
The feasibility report will consist of the following.
i) Location and tourism importance.
ii) Concept of this project and layout in A3 size.
iii) How this project will improve tourism and local business.
iv) Rough cost estimate with break up.
v) Project viability.

a) The Consultants shall provide state-of-the-art creative conceptual designs
keeping in view the aesthetics and utilitarian aspects of the structures capable
of being constructed at an optimum cost. The designs shall be created
specifically for this project and shall not be replicated in to or partly from any
other project

REMUNARATION:
For rendering the above consultancy services, the Executive Officer, Arulmigu
Ekambaranathar Temple Kancheepuram Temple shall pay the fee as quoted in the
financial tender.
The amount payable is inclusive of all taxes and levies but excluding service tax.
The statutory taxes and other levy deductions as per income tax and relevant Acts will
be made by on the payments to be made to the consultants

Terms of payment
a) The fee payable to the Consultant will be made on submission of conceptual plan, Master
