Conventional Types of Assessment

Periodical tests – administered after every grading period

Binary Test - only 2 choices are presented- measures simple recall of basic facts

Short-answer Test – students identify the correct term (news values) in each item (news items)

- requires recall and recognition Multiple-choice Test - takes the general form of a

question or incomplete statement with a set of possible answers

- students choose one correct answer from 4 alternatives

SUGGESTIONS/ANALYSISi. Students are not supposed to check their test papersii. Some items promote rote memorization
