Renovation Update- August 2012 Steady progress continues towards our November completion date.

The outside of the building is really taking shape. The brick work is complete, and the EFIS band at the top of the structure is nearly complete. The west glass wall in the Gathering Place has nearly been completed and the doors will be installed within the next two weeks. Preparations are complete for the concrete area just outside that Gathering Place west wall and the concrete should be poured this week. The covered canopy on the St Clair side is nearing completion as well. The

contractor has started clearing the back parking lot, and will begin installing curbs soon. The back parking lot will be worked in stages to accommodate the contractor's temporary structures while providing the least possible impact to our current parking. The contractor hopes to have the building letters (First Baptist Church) installed across the exterior of the Student Center by Labor Day!
