Hi Support,
Though we have activated the "Create SLoc Automatically" functionalityfor Plants & Movement types in our system, we are not able to doMaterial Movements against special stocks without extending theMaterial.
Most of our stocks are assigned to Projects and we are findingdifficulty in extending the Material to various Stor. Locs.
Is there any way where the Material Master record is generated againstthe Stor. Loc. automatically during Material Movements against Projects? Thanks & Regds.Nalini Kanth

Hello Nalini,
Unfortunetely there is no simple workaround for this issue. The systemdesign does not allow for automatic storage location for project stock. The storage locations will have to be created manually.
I am sorry that I cannot give you a more positive answer at this stage. You could consider a Development request as per Note 357732 for thisissue for future releases.
Kind regardsDamian McCarthy

Hello Nalini Kanth,
I checked the F1 documentation on this setting in the customizing. Itreads as follows :**********************************************************************Automatic creation of storage location allowed Indicates thatautomatic creation of storage location data in the materialmaster record at the time of the first goods receipt is allowed.
DependenciesStorage location data is created automatically only if this is:
Allowed in the relevant plant, andProvided for in the movement typeIf these prerequisites are not satisfied, you must maintain thestorage location data of a material before you post the first goodsreceipt in the relevant storage location.
NoteThe storage location data is created only if the quantity is posted tothe "normal" storage location stock. If you have receipts to specialstock (for example, to sales order stock), the data is not created.***********************************************************************As a result the project stock postings cannot create the Storagelocation automatically. This is standard system design.
If this resolves your issue, please be so kind as to 'confirm' andclose this message. Otherwise, please return the message to me forfurther processing
Thankyou in advance and Best regardsDamian McCarthySenior Support Consultant MMSAP Global Support CentreIreland

Solution
Dear customer,
we would like to inform you about the aims of the "development requests" service and outline changes in the procedure that were introduced recently for quality assurance purposes. Further details may be obtained from the SAP Service Marketplace via "http://service.sap.com/rollin".
As well as strategic targets and requirements arising from our research and development projects, our customersdevelopment requests form an important basis for product planning enabling us to continue developing the mySAP.com e-Business platform.
The opportunity to create development requests is offered as an additional service by SAP development to specific customers, which include SAP user groups, customers with certified Customer Competence Centers and Global Alliance Partners, as well as SAP development and consulting partners:
a) Country- and industry-specific SAP user groups consolidate regional or industry-specific requirements together with SAP and introduce them in the product planning process with their respective priority. Along with suggestions for enhancing existing functions, requests that contribute to the design and strategic development of the mySAP.com solutions are particularly important. You can obtain detailed information on the various SAP user groups from your local SAP organization or in the SAP Service Marketplace via "http://service.sap.com/communities".b) Development requests give Certified Customer Competence Centers or Global AlliancePartners the opportunity to formally communicate requirements for further development of the standard functions of the mySAP.com solutions to SAP development and obtain direct feedback concerning their requirements.c) To consolidate suggestions from the customer base and incorporate them within the development process, development and consulting partners will be included in this service. The national SAP subsidiaries will inform you separately about further procedures.
For the "development requests" service the following general conditions apply:
a) Development requests may only be realized for development of functions that are delivered in the standard scope of functions of a mySAP.com-component.
b) Development requests are not to be implemented by delivering functional enhancements in Support Packages for releases of mySAP.com-components that are already available. An exception to this rule is legal changes, which are handled separately in line with current legal requirements.c) Development requests differ in their content from queries about problem solving with regard to software maintenance, and from queries about development of customer-specific solutions. Individual development projects offer the opportunity to implement a solution that is matched to your own particular requirements in a short time frame.
Evaluating the development requests received by SAP development involves several steps linked to the product and development planning cycle of the respective mySAP.com component:
Screening:
SAP development checks the development requests placed in the SAPService Marketplace. It then informs the sender about its decision (rejection or inclusion into the worklist for the next planning phase of a mySAP.com-component) within a suitable time frame.
Final decision:
As part of product and development planning for a particular mySAP.com-component, the development requests included in the first step into the planing pool undergo a final evaluation. The sender is informed about a decision once the product and development planning is concluded.
Availability:
Once the next release of a particular mySAP. com-component is on general release, the new or enhanced functions are available for all customers.
