qualifications) is required to assist the Chief of the Virus Laboratories in the administration of the laboratory and in planning and developing the research and control programmes. In addition to graduation in Medicine, candidates must possess a number of years' experience in

PROVINCE OF MANITOBA

DIRECTOR OF LOCAL HEALTH SERVICES The Director of Local Health Services is responsible for direction of the Local Health Unit program. This program consists of organized full time public health services offered to 483,965 persons through 14 local health units, and prepaid diagnostic laboratory and X-ray services in six of these units. The Director is involved in study and consultation; he makes recom- mendations regarding the existing program, changes and extension of programs, and consultation with directors of health units. Considerable travel throughout the province is involved in this position. The successful applicant should have considerable experience in medical administration, and preferably post-graduate training in public health. He must be genuinely interested in and have a good working knowledge of both public health and diagnostic laboratory and X-ray technologies. Salary Range: $13,080-$14,880 per annum. This position offers full Civil Service benefits, liberal sick leave, three weeks' annual vacation with pay, pension and group insurance privileges. Apply on or before December 5, 1964, to:
