The Cunard Line launched its newestcargo liner, the M. V. MEDIA, first offour freighters to be constructed in a$12.5 million shipbuilding program. Thenew ships will be used in the U.S. Liver-pool service. They will have cubic ca-pacity of 420,000 feet, including 23,000cubic feet of refrigerated space. Petty Terminal Corporation has purchased the trade name of Ship Channel Com-press Warehouse from the Sprunt Corporation and is now operating the facilitiesat the foot of 82nd Street as Petco Docks. Approximately $100,000 has been spenton repairs to the two berths and other facilities. Tile warehouse and compress areacontains 350,000 square feet.
