August and Upcoming Service Opportunities:

Thanks to the fifth and six graders who spent the day at the Westside Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry stocking shelves, bagging green beans, sorting bread, and taking people shopping. That day over 120 families shopped which adds up to over 500 individuals being assisted with food. One young man said that he never knew it would be so much fun to help people and another added or such hard work.

93% female head of household

$9,570was the average annual income of families

9,691 families served since opening in 2005

We will be serving dinner on Saturday, August 27 at the YWCA Family Center at 900 Harvey Court, Columbus, Ohio 43219. The menu with need items will be posted in August. One can meet at the church at 4:00 to car pool to the center or meet at the center at 5:00. We will be doing several servings of dinner to accom-modate the number of residents.
