Turning mechanical CAD into intelligent BIM objects

Connected to BIMobject CloudBIMobject LENA is directly connected to the BIMobject Cloud providing a seamless workflow to publish objects and includes connection to the corresponding product information stored in property sets in the BIMobject Cloud.

Scalable and intelligentThe solution is scalable and can describe products as well as components in a very intelligent way, creating configurable objects with parametric variations and different levels of detail. BIMscript is a subset of the C programming language and enables smart objects to be created in BIMobject LENA and then hosted and managed in the BIMobject Cloud. Objects created using BIMscript then have the ability to include properties and meta data from BIMobject Open Property Cloud (BOPC).

Easy to useBIMobject LENA requires the developer to have a commercial license of Rhino 3D and an accreditation from BIMobject before it can be used. BIMobject LENA is very easy to use and within it all syntax controls, testing and creation of the generated BIMscript takes place. The technology is freely available and will be enhanced continously.

Powerful scripting languageBIMscript includes not only parametric behaviors but also calculations, product logic, level of detail (with several levels of complexity of geometry and geometry combinations) and includes a huge range of properties and attributes.

Import mechanical CAD geometryLENA is an authoring app for the mechanical 3D CAD system Rhino that will generate BIMscript. It is a solution in which mechanical CAD geometry can be imported from most mechanical CAD systems, including industry leading products like CATIA, Solidworks, SolidEdge, IGES, NX, JT, Inventor and Pro E. Rhino is the host platform for BIMobject LENA in which BIMscript is generated and works in combination with the modeling and optimisation features of Rhino.

Generate native BIM objectsOperating in the cloud BIMscript generates intelligent, native BIM objects in a number of formats for the most popular BIM applications from Autodesk, Graphisoft, and Trimble with the potential for more in the future. BIMobject® Private Clouds 2.0

A Private Cloud is a microsite for Building and Interior Product

Manufacturers. It enables a Manufacturer to create and maintain

their own digital product catalogue on their own website with the

main focus on BIM objects. The BIMobject Private Clouds can

be tailored to each Manufacturers need, with an individual look

and can be embedded into any web environment.

Single or Multi BrandPrivate Clouds can be divided into single brand or multi brand. Multi brand means that a larger manufacturer with several brands can build special Private Clouds that cover all BIM objects. Single brand is for manufacturers with only one brand.

Administration FunctionsAs a Manufacturer you can manage the setup and maintenance of your Private Clouds with a simple login. By using the admin- istration on the BIMobject Cloud you can tailor or modify the Private Clouds in minutes.

Analyse DownloadsAll downloads from your Private Clouds will be monitored by BIManalytics® Pro. The downloads will be shown in lists defining the source, describing this gives feedback on where different users have fetched the BIM objects.
