What is Bor-X?

• Bor-X is a solid granular algaecide consisting of 100% Sodium Tetraborate Pentahydrate.

Advantages of using Bor-X

1. To reduce and inhibit the growth of algae.

• Inhibits algae by inhibiting algae’s ability to process Carbon Dioxide.

• If algae cannot “breathe”, it cannot live.

• Chlorine users will use substantially less chlorine.

• Salt system users can run their salt system at lower outputs, hence, increasing the life of the cell.

• Pools that use Bor-X can continue to inhibit algae and stay clear should the pool experience short term neglect.

Want to start using Bor-X?

• To start using Bor-X:• Add 10 lbs. of Bor-X (per 10,000 gallons) directly into the

pool with pool pump running.• Add 1 gal. Of Muriatic Acid per 10 lbs. of Bor-X added.

Add Muriatic Acid directly into the pool with pool pump running.*

• Get water tested for Borates (Bor-X) on a monthly basis by Aegean Pools & follow recommended maintenance dosages for a crystal clear & algae free swimming pool.

• Borate level should be maintained at or above 30 ppm.

* Muriatic Acid is needed to decrease the pH as result of the pH Increase due to the Bor-X. You may also use ½ lbs.

Of granular pH Down (Sodium Bisulfate) for every 1 lbs. Of Bor-X added.
