Welcome to 2015 A warm welcome back to all students, staff and the broader Bowraville Central School community. Just as we had much to celebrate at the end of 2014, we have a great deal to look forward to in 2015. It was a great privilege for the school to commence the year by hos ng the Nambucca Valley Australia Day Awards Ceremony on Sunday 25th January. This was a fabulous occasion, with approximately 300 awardees and guests filling our gymnasium to rightly honour excellence across the Nambucca Valley. Many thanks to several staff for assis ng with this, including Alyson Grace, Veronica Vou er and their catering team, and Owen and Helen Rushton. Despite a fair amount of wet weather recently, our cleaning and maintenance staff have once again put in a great effort to ensure that we all returned to a beau ful school environment. Many thanks to Garry Deitrich, Judith Barber, and Jim Barry for your great work. Another important event that helps us to tradi onally get the year off to a great start as a whole community is the annual swimming carnival. The morning rain could not dampen the fabulous Bowra spirit that was on show all day at yesterday’s great event. Congratula ons to all students for your very posi ve par cipa on; many thanks to family members who were able to join us, and thank you to all staff for the fine organisa on once again. I look forward to once again this year working with everyone within the Bowraville Central School to make our wonderful school an even finer place of learning, crea vity and growth. Have a great week. Malcolm McFarlane
