It has been a very busy first week back and start to the second half of the summer term as our Living Eggs arrived on Monday. We now have 10 beautiful fluffy yellow ducklings that have already hatched. You will see some photos of these further on in the Bulletin and some of us are lucky enough to be looking after them for the weekend! Thank you to those who attended the presentation last night from Mrs Manley, Mr Duke, Mr Armstead and Miss Clarke regarding the Year 6 trip to Normandy. Please make sure that you have handed your child's passport to Mr Duke or Mrs Manley in time, as they will need to check this along with their European Health Card (EHIC) before they go. One year we had a child turn up on the morning of the trip with an out of date passport and unfortunately they could not accompany the trip which was extremely sad. I hope that you have all the information you need and if you were unable to attend, please speak to the school office if you require any further information. Next week continues to look rather busy for our school calendar with our Year 3 trip to Sevenoaks, Year 6 Fiver Challenge and our Kindergarten and Pre Prep Fathers’ Day assemblies. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our Voice of the Parent survey. Your feedback has been extremely positive and we are truly grateful for all of your comments. I hope that you all received my communication with the Action Plan which highlighted the areas that we have worked on again this year and those that we will continue to develop. The survey will be open for another two weeks and as a school we really appreciate all the positive comments and for sharing your ideas for further development. I will of course feedback to you all, once the survey is completely closed. Friday comes around all too quickly and we have had a wonderful day admiring your children’s works of art at our Breaside Art Exhibition. There has also been a great deal of practice going on for our Year 6 production, which is going well and I can’t wait to watch the finished performances! We truly do have some amazingly talented children at Breaside! All that is left for me to say at the end of another very busy week is, have a lovely weekend. ‘O-Pro’ Mouthguard FittingBoys in Years 3 to 6 - as of September 2018

During the coming Autumn Term (Sept-Dec 2018) our boys will be playing Rugby at Bromley Cricket Club. AsRugby is a contact sport, it is compulsory for the boys to wear mouth guards for both practices and matches.

‘O-Pro’ is a highly recommended company whose mouth guards are competitively priced and are custom made tofit your child’s mouth, thus limiting the chances of injury or concussion more than the ‘over the counter’ typepurchased at a chemist or sports shop.

On Tuesday 19th June 2018 the dentists from ‘O-Pro’ will be taking fittings for mouth guards at Breaside School.

Should you wish your child to be fitted with a mouth guard for the Autumn Term, order directly online atwww.opro.com by Monday 11th June 2018.

If you have any questions or queries please email [email protected] P Evans, Head of Boys P.E.
