If you received a letter from Mrs. Stine stating you have been automati-cally qualified, you will not need to fill out an application. Failure to submit and qualify before the required date will result in a full pay status as of September 21, 2018.
ONLINE REGISTRATION If you have not already done so, please complete the online registration for your child. If you do not have internet access at home, please feel free to come to the elementary office and we will as-sist you in completing this obligation.
WEATHER CLOSING/DELAY NOTICES In the event of school closings or delays, please watch the local news or sign up for closing alerts at wndu.com or wsbt.com to be informed of any school closing or delays.
NOTE FROM THE NURSE School is in full swing and so are the germs! Please remem-ber if your student has a fever over 100 degrees they should not be at school. They need to
remain home until they are fever free for 24 hours without any medication. This also goes for vomiting and diarrhea. If you feel your child is not well enough to come to school please do not send them. I try to keep the students in the classroom as much as possible unless the stu-dent has a fever or is actively vomiting. Thanks for your help in keeping the spread of germs down as much as possible. —Nicole Stevens RN, BSN

August 20, 2018 Dear Parents and Guardians, Mrs. Wright is continuing our Bremen Elementary-Middle School Robotics Club. We have enough robots for seven robot teams in our club at this time. We will meet every Wednesday after school from 3:15 to 4:15 beginning September 5, 2018 and going through March of 2019. If you would like your child to be involved in BEMS Robotics, there are some things you need to know. We need you to pick up your child promptly at 4:15 each Wednesday unless you make other plans with your child for that time. There are also some Saturdays that we will have meets, and we need parent help with transportation and supervision with each event. There will be some cost to you. Cost includes team shirt, possible small after school snack on practice days for your child, and meet needs such as transportation and food for each event. In the VEX Competitions, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play with other teams from area schools and around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at VEX Worlds each April! If you want to learn more about the program, please visit the website at https://www.vexrobotics.com/vexiq. If you are interested, our first practice is Wednesday, September 5, to learn more about BEMS Robotics and the 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge. We will meet in Mrs. Wright’s classroom, room 16, at 3:15. If you are interested, please sign and return the bottom of this letter or send me an email at [email protected]. Sincerely, Mrs. Kacey Wright _____My son/daughter will attend on 9/5/18. _____My son/daughter and I will attend on 9/5/18. _________________________ _________________________ Parent/Guardian Signature Name of Student
