serious, intelligent, quality newspapers-broadsheets-and the
sensational, popular-tabloids.
The Guardian The Guardian is a British
national daily newspaper in the Berliner format. It has grown from a 19th-century
local paper to a national paper associated with a complex organisational
structure and international multimedia presence.The Guardian has become an
international media organisation with affiliations to other national papers with
similar aims.
The Times The Times is a British daily national
newspaper, first published in London in 1785 under the title The
Daily Universal Register (it became The Times on 1 January
1788). The Times is the first newspaper to have borne that name, lending it to numerous other papers
around the world, including The Times of India ,
The New Yourk Times , The Irish Times, The Los Angeles
Times etc.The Times was printed in broadsheet format for 219 years,
but switched to compactsize in 2004 in an attempt to appeal more to
younger readers and commuters using public transport.
The Sun The Sun is a daily
national tabloid newspaper published in the U.K. It
has the tenth-largest circulation of any newspaper in the world
and the largest circulation of any daily newspaper in the U.K.The Sun had an average daily circulation of 2,751,219 copies in
January 2012.
Morning Star The Morning Star is a left
wing British daily tabloid newspaper with a focus on
social and trade union issues. The newspaper was founded in 1930 as the Daily
Worker. Articles and comment columns are
contributed by writers from socialist, social democratic,
green and religious perspectives.
British Vogue British Vogue is a
fashion magazine which is popular among
women. It was noticed as the most successful edition in 2011.The are also some supplements
like Vogue Beauty, Vogue Shopping and
Business Vogue, Teen Vogue.
