CONTAINER CRANES /

THE BOXER

The main advantages are:

1. Shortest possible rope length

2. Optimal load control

3. No horizontal hoisting ropes

4. No auxiliary trolleys (catenary trolleys) required

5. Low expense for new ropes in case of rope

change

6. Short down time for rope change

7. Change of ropes with hoisted boom possible with

the big advantage of not blocking the berth.

8. Optimal swinging behavior

9. Greasing of ropes with lowest expense

10. A good feeling of the operator, the control of the

load.

System characteristics for rope/ semi-

rope drawn trolleys with catenary

referred to machinery on trolley system:

Disadvantages:

• Rope length (3x higher costs)

• Rope exchange 8x longer

• Lowe energy efficiency

• Higher energy costs

• More wear parts

Advantage

• Less counter weight

• Less corner loads in case of

boom length to crane rail

• Lowest cost of ownership

• Minimized unexpected downtimes, highest

performances and availabilities

• 15% to 20% less TCO* costs, compared to

other manufacturer

• Up to 23% less crane weight*/ corner loads

achieved by Super-Post-Panamax size

cranes

• Up to 60% less maintenance costs

• 10% to 15% higher energy efficiency then

our main competitors, thus ensure a

reduces CO2 footprint

• Longest proven lifetime in the market.
