Bulldog Bulletin
Note From the Principal...
A Year in Review
Did you know… that 88.3% of our third graders passed IREAD? Did you know that we have set class learning goals for high frequency words for first grade and passed those goals? Did you know that kindergarten students are tracking and prac-ticing their 39 high frequency words? Did you know that se-cond graders have practiced, set goals and mastered math facts? Did you know that third graders have set and mastered goals for homework? Did you know that 91% of our students were honored for living the Mis-sion Statement? Those stu-dents enjoyed an ice cream treat in the cafeteria and were honored with a certificate. Con-gratulations Bulldogs!
Remember for Next Year!

Our Bulldog News!!
Good-bye and Good Luck!
McKenney-Harrison students and staff bid
a very sad farewell to two of our most
prized and respected staff members. A
warm good-bye and good luck to Jill Hamil-
ton our speech and language pathologist
and to Betty Conrad our art teacher. With
a combined 65 years of teaching experi-
ence, their expertise will be missed !
Pioneer Day!
It’s hard to see it, but did you know that
all fourth grade teachers and students had
a Pioneer Day!? They made yarn dolls, can-
dles, homemade noodles, cornbread and
butter, cross stitching, tin punching, cal-
ligraphy, transportation with a horse and
buggy, quilting, soap carving and stenciling?
Student Leaders 2012-2013
Did you know that MCK-Harrison
students will be interviewing for
different jobs next year? We need
equipment managers, student lead-
ers and grade level helpers! More
information coming in the fall.
What a great way to foster leader-
ship and learning...
