I PERCEIVE THIS AS WRONG BECAUSE COSMETIC PRODUCTS ARE NOT ESSENTIAL TO OUR ECONOMY. TO REDUCE THIS UNNECESSARY ANIMAL CRUELTY, THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE TEST SOMETIMES CALLED “EPISKIN”, WHICH HAS SHOWN GREAT ACCURACY.

(Episkin Corrosion Test, 2013) claims that the studies has shown that this testing is “highly sensitive by 90% and specific by 80%” in finding the difference between “corrosive and non corrosive chemicals.”

Conclusion• More beauty companies should adopt the alternative “Episkin” to use for testing their products.

• Since most people seemed to be uninformed about this issue, it would be helpful to start getting the word out or finding out how to get involved.
