Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: NIGHT WORKS – WEDNESDAY 16 MARCH TO SATURDAY 19 MARCH 2016 We are writing to inform you about night works that will take place during March as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project. As you may be aware, work on the CityLink Tulla Widening project is underway and involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road / Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. Once completed, the project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. CPB Contractors (formally Leighton Contractors) is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. We would like to notify you of night works in your area to enable widening of the bridge that passes over Pascoe Vale Road. Where we will be We will be working in the area shown on the map below to relocate sewer pipes.

Dear Resident

CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: NIGHT WORKS – WEDNESDAY 16 MARCH TO SATURDAY 19 MARCH 2016

We are writing to inform you about night works that will take place during March as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project.

Where we will beWe will be working in the area shown on the map below to relocate sewer pipes.

When works will occurSewer works will take place between 7pm and 6am on Wednesday 16 to Saturday 19 March 2016.

Pascoe Vale Road

What we are doingRelocating sewer pipes to enable widening of the bridge that passes over Pascoe Vale Road. This will involve: Using a concrete saw to cut the road asphalt; Using a road profiler to remove the top layer of the road and an excavator to dig a trench; Using a specialised vacuum truck (non-destructive digging truck) to uncover the pipes; Relocating the pipes; and Reinstating and asphalting the road surface.

What to expectDuring the sewer works you can expect: Small crews working in the area during the night; Light towers will be required for construction safety and will be positioned to minimise impact on residents and

drivers; Closure of Pascoe Vale Road northbound between Loeman Street and CityLink entry ramp (detours will be in

place); and Some noise during construction activities.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We are committed to keeping residents informed and minimising the impacts during construction, while keeping the community and our workers safe at all times. Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working with local and state government adhering to environmental laws to ensure the impact to the natural ecosystem is minimised.
