Dear Resident

CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: OVERNIGHT PILING WORKS & FREEWAY ON-RAMP BULLA ROAD CLOSURE

We are writing to advise residents that there will be overnight piling works being carried out during the week-commencing 19 September near the start of the Freeway on-ramp inbound at Bulla Road – weather permitting.

Piling will take place on Monday (19/9), Tuesday (20/9) and Wednesday (21/9) nights (9.00pm to 5.00am) and the piling rig will be removed Thursday night (9.00pm to 5.00am).

While the works to be carried out should not have a direct impact on you, we appreciate that there might be noticeable noise and lights that might cause some inconvenience for residents and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

What we are doingWorkers will be using a piling rig to position safety barrier supports and carrying out general bridge construction work. As a result the freeway on-ramp inbound from Bulla Road will be closed on Monday (19 Sept. 9pm to 5am) and Thursday (22 Sept. 9pm to 5am).

Where we will beThe majority of works will be towards the Bulla Road-end of the on-ramp – see area marked in yellow on the map.

What to expectThe piling rig will bore circular holes into the ground then workers will insert lengths of steel which will then be encased in concrete to form permanent foundations for the safety barriers. While the works themselves will not have an impact on residents, you may notice some noise made by the piling rig and the concrete delivery trucks and you may notice the lights that will be used to illuminate the work area.

We apologise for any inconvenience this work will cause.

We are committed to keeping residents informed and minimising the impacts during construction, while keeping the community and our workers safe at all times. Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working with local and state government adhering to environmental laws to ensure any impact to the natural ecosystem is minimised.
