Dear Parishioners, You may know that the three principles of the Christian stewardship are time, talent, and treasure. The truth is that stewardship involves all of life – body, mind and spirit, our material possessions, friendships, etc. All we are and have is a gift from our Creator for us to use wisely to build up God’s kingdom here on earth. In this regard, I want to present to you an update of the To Teach Who Christ Is (TTWCI) campaign. Out of $461,400 of total pledges, parishioners have paid $177,327 thus far. As part of the goal campaign, 40 % of it is designated to the Archdiocese and 60% to the parish, which represents $106,396. With these funds, $19,500 were investing in the remodeling of St. Joseph’s room and a parish center’s bathroom. $5,124 to the remodeling of the Music’s room. $12,950 to the pavement of the church’s alley and $28,000 for the lighting of the parking lot; leaving us as of today with an available balance of $40,822. With these funds, the finance council and I have considered to use them for the pavement of the parking lot this Summer. The total cost of this project is $55,000. Which means we are still short $15,000. Therefore we plan to use the extraordinary second collections on the third weekend of June, July, and August to be able to cover the payment of the whole project. I thank you for those who are fulfilling the Campaign pledges and ask you to continue making your payments to defray the cost of this upcoming project. For those who have not contributed yet to the campaign, this will be another opportunity to support this project of paving the parking lot. Remember your contribution make us better stewards by taking care of our facilities which benefits future parishioners and us. In order to cover the remaining $15,000 of this project with the second extraordinary collections during these coming three months, each collection should be at least $5,000 which means almost the same amount you give for every Sunday. I ask you then to consider making an extra sacrifice during the weekends of June 16, July 21 and August 18 to be able to support both your parish with your Sunday contribution plus the equal contribution in the second extraordinary collection on those weekends. Remember also that you can donate electronically or you can support this project by dropping an envelope in the collection basket on any Sunday marking your name and specifying that your donation will be for the pavement of the parking lot. There are available envelopes at the entrances of the church explicitly marked for this target. May the Lord Bless your generosity, and hopefully, we can have a new parking lot paved before this winter. In Jesus and Mary,
