On the Vigil of Pentecost 2020, Prince of Peace Catholic Church welcomed 7 men and women into the fullness of the
faith. They are: Kaitlyn Brown, Amy Sears, Michelle Hogan, Daphne Hogan, Devin Moore, Richard Smith, Ansley Lowe
In this time of COVID-19, the pitcher that was used at the ded-
ication of the church was used to pour the water, rather than our usual practice of using a gold shell to infuse water from the
font.
The new Catholics received Holy Communion during Mass
from a ciborium that belonged to Pope St Pius X. Everyone
else will have an opportunity after Mass for Communion.

Religious Education Teachers Needed! Sharing your
faith with the next generation has never been so
easy. Maria Barontini, Pastoral Associate of Chil-
dren's Catechesis, provides ALL materials, training
and reference material for teaching RE on Sundays
between 8:50-9:50a. Become a lead teacher or co-
teacher. Or, simply serve as a substitute for those
times when the teacher needs a week away. Contact
Maria ([email protected]) if
you have questions or would like to volunteer.
Happenings & Needs
During the month of June, we’re giving everyone an
opportunity to get caught up on confession: Tues-
day, Wednesday and Thursday 5-6p and Saturday
3.30-4.30p. Please wait outside the Croghan Hall old
church space in Parish House while each penitent
goes in.
We encourage you to observe the following:
1. Confess only mortal sins since your last confes-
sion. Devotional or general confessions of past or
venial sins can wait.
2. Wear a mask for your protection and Father's and
bring disinfecting wipes to quickly wipe down door
handles and the kneeler or chair before you use it.
3. Get to the point: sins, not stories. This is not the
time to seek spiritual direction. Number and kind of
mortal sins, any aggravating circumstances.
4. Confessors will be very firm with the scrupulous.
5. Be considerate of others who are waiting for con-
fession.
6. June is about trying to offer confession to every-
one who needs it or who has received General Ab-
solution since this began.
Note: General Absolution will be granted at Sunday Mass
until Corpus Christi Sunday
Prince of Peace Catholic Church is seeking help with
cleaning/disinfecting surfaces following the anticipat-
ed 5p, and 8a, 10a, 12n & 6p Sunday Mass. All clean-
ing products will be provided along with instructions.
This schedule will be made weekly! Can you help 6-7
June? Volunteer here.
All plans subject to change! Check here often.

Don’t take a summer vacation from your marriage,
bring it into your marriage. Time with your spouse
on a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend is an
investment that will pay dividends. It is a weekend for
married couples to get away from job, computers,
children, chores and phones – and focus on each
other and God’s plan for your marriage. That's just
the beginning of what you will receive on
a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend. Attend
one of the upcoming weekends on Jul 17-19, 2020 in
Beaufort, SC and Jan 29-31, 2021 in North Myrtle
Beach, SC. Early sign up is recommended. For more
information visit our website at: https://

Happenings & Needs
Our parish is offering 17 opportunities to return to
confession in the month of June. If these times and
days conflict with your schedule, consider the fol-
lowing nearby:
• St Rafka Maronite Catholic Church: 9-6p on
Wednesday, 10 June in the Cry Room
• St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church: resumes 20
June
• St Mary's Catholic Church: 5p Wednesdays
• Our Lady of the Rosary: 4.30-5.30 Wednesdays
& 9-10a Sundays
If you are unable to receive Holy Communion for whatever reason, make a Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacra-ment. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart, as though You
have already come. I embrace You and unite myself en-tirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
• drop off your offertory at Mass or in our
mailbox: at the doors to Parish
House (formerly Croghan Hall) that face the
school is a mailbox with an outer door and an
inner safe drop door for envelopes (video)
• mail it to us: 1209 Brushy Creek Rd, Taylors
South Carolina 29687
• donate online in our NEW tithe.ly system -
setup EFT, one-time donation or recurring dona-
tion. Manage your giving with ease
by downloading the tithe.ly app to your phone. If
you're already setup with giving, no need to
change anything! If you're already using tithe.ly,
make sure you select the intended Church for
your giving. Questions? Message us.
If you normally give via WeShare, you can stick with it or
switch! The parish incurs lower fees with Tithe.ly. Here's
the WeShare link for managing your account.
We’re living thru history. Despite its many challeng-
es, there’s a lot of good happening. We saw Dads
celebrating St Joseph’s Feast Day with their sons and
our Grand Knight spent his Sunday morning donating
platelets under The Blood Connection’s POP code
3APE. Our broadcasts and posts online have reached
around 33,000 folks!
