National Eucharistic Congress—Spiritual Preparation in June 2018 For those attending the Eucharistic Congress, or hoping to do so, the Bishop of Shrewsbury has issued an invitation to join him at St. Anthony’s, Wythenshaw, at 3pm on Sunday 24th June for a Holy Hour of Adoration, and to be formally commissioned as Diocesan Delegates. Corpus Christi—The Body and Blood of Christ—3rd June 2018 On such a wonderful day it is really important that the whole community joins in the procession, singing and praying together as we honour the Eucharistic Presence of Our Lord.

Knit and Natter The Knit and Natter group next meet up on Monday 4th June in St. Edward’s Hall between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. All are welcome.

Faith in Action Our Faith in Action group will be taking part in a sponsored cycle on Sunday 10th June after the 10:30am Mass. Money raised will go to Aid to the Church in Need to support their work on the Nineveh Plains. Please meet up in the car park outside the hall with bikes ready to go!

Global Healing In response to Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si” on care for creation the Bishops’ Conference have produced a new film resource—Global Healing. More information will become available as we approach Creation Day on the 1st September.

Catholic Teachers not working in Catholic Schools The Diocese is looking to encourage Catholic teachers who are not working at a Catholic school to return to the Catholic sector. Please see the poster in church for details of an informal session to be held in Altrincham on Saturday 30th June.
