CELEBRATION OF MASS

has resumed at St. Maximilian Kolbe and Saint

Katharine Drexel following the regular schedules.

ALL DAILY AND SUNDAY MASSES HAVE

RESUMED at 25% building capacity.

It is important to know that “the obligation of a Catholic to attend Sunday Mass remains suspended and we have uniformly encouraged those most at risk to stay home” (Bishop Matano, Memorandum, May 21, 2020).

The following guidelines will be in place for all public Masses for the foreseeable future:

• ALL THOSE WHO ENTER THE CHURCH MUST BE WEARING A FACEMASK. YOU MUST COME WEARING ONE.

• Everyone must sanitize his or her hands upon en-trance to the church. Hand sanitizer will be pro-vided at the entrances.

• Observe social distancing measures. Pews in each church will be clearly marked as to where people may sit. A family may sit together, but please be six (6) feet apart from the next person or family.

• The public space must be sanitized after each Mass in preparation for the next.

Due to mold problems at St. Rose in Sodus Point, the church won’t be used this summer.

The 8:30am Sunday Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Epiphany 105 West Main St. Sodus, NY 14551. Summer masses will start on June 28 and end on Sep-tember 13.

YES, the St Max Garage Sale is on!!!

During these most unusual times, you’ve probably had a chance to sort through items you’ve had stored forever in your basement, or garage, or even attic! Well, good news, those unneeded treasures can have a new home when you donate them to this year’s St. Maximilian Kolbe Garage Sale. The Garage Sale is scheduled for July 23-25 in the St. Mary’s Parish Center and we’ll begin accepting dona-tions after masses on July 11-12. Additional collection times will be announced. Remember, we cannot accept clothing, televisions, computers or large appliances or equipment. Also, start thinking about how you can help out during the sale. Trust me, it really is a lot of fun, and there are lots of ways to help. And, of course, we’ll be practicing social distancing to keep everyone safe. Signup posters will be coming soon! For questions about the garage sale or to of-fer your help, please call Florence at 603-801-5062.
