Lent and Easter Parish Charity Over 500,000 people are estimated to have fled into Bangladesh to escape violence in neighbouring Myanmar. Many of these refugees are sleeping in the open air and are in desperate need. Cafod are working through their partner, Caritas Bangladesh, to provide emergency shelter, urgently needed food and clean water. If you wish to support this appeal, please see the poster at the back of church, write your initials in the square you choose and place your donation of £1.00 per square in the collection box. Every £40.00 raised will provide essential shelter to a family who have lost everything. If you would like to help: you will find a list of street names at the back of the church, even if you only have time to cover one street: please sign your name against the street/streets of your choice: the leaflets need to be delivered during the week beginning 8th April 2019. The Parish Pastoral Council would like to thank you for giving up your time to support us in ensuring that everyone in the area is reminded of the true meaning of Easter. Lent and Easter Parish Charity

Easter Bake and Buy Cake Sale We are appealing to your kind generosity to bake cakes and pies (both sweet and savoury) for sale after Mass over the weekend of 13th/14th April (Palm Sunday). Your donations will be gratefully received before Mass on the day. All monies raised will go to parish funds. Thank you.

Faith In Action The Faith In Action group will be meeting on Sunday 14th April after the 10:30am Mass for food and to think about Lent and Holy Week through art. There will also be a chance to walk the Lenten Labyrinth. Please let Clare know if you are coming.

Lenten Labyrinth All are welcome to come to St. Edward’s church between 12:30 and 3pm on Passion Sunday, 14th April to walk our Lenten Labyrinth. Please come at a time to suit you.

Adult Catholics Together Spiritually (ACTS) Day of Reflection The next 'ACTS' Day of Reflection is taking place on Sat 13 April 2019 at Shrewsbury Cathedral. Open to all ages, the theme will focus on the 'Divinity of Christ'. Fr Tom Cunnah will lead the day which starts with Mass at 9.30am and finishes at 3.30pm. The address is: 11 Belmont, Shrewsby SY1 1TE (the Cathedral is about a 10 minute walk from Shrewsbury train station). Payment by anonymous donation (suggested cost £10). Foot Washing on Holy Thursday Please sign up to have your foot washed on Holy Thursday. This is a wonderful chance to experience the servant Lord during the Sacred Triduum.

Painted Easter Egg Competition Please start to work on painted eggs showing the Easter Scene or Church Life etc. A competition will be held across the Parish which will be judged on Easter Sunday!
