Chairperson’s Message From our inception Faith Regen Foundation has been organisation that has been ahead of its time. We have developed our own organic methods to reach the hardest-to-reach communities and to provide much needed training in the UK and internationally. is year has seen a decade worth of experience coming to fruition through our innovative steps to reach out to individuals, communities and organisations in the UK and abroad.

Within the Faith Regen Foundation family the development of Innovate to Inspire (i2i) and GlobalOne 2015 brings with it a new venture. It is a very exciting for us and we are looking forward to further unleashing our own potential.

ere have of course been struggles, especially in the past year but these have been met with a positive attitude and an unfaltering commitment to the work of our Foundation. We are here to inspire all communities to realise their ability to achieve more- through training and action, understanding and respect, and through greater awareness of the issues that aect us all.

As a Board we are grateful to the Chief Executive and sta for their commit-ment, hard work and ability to adapt to the changes being made within the organisation, and the ever-developing nature of the third sector and charity eld. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our partners and funders.

Dr Husna Ahmad

e year 2010-11 has been one of immense challenges and great success.

Despite the challenging year we faced, we have found ourselves surrounded with new opportunities and new beginnings. e hardwork and dedication of our sta has enabled us to push through these diculties and branch out to new terrotories where we can deliver our message of hope and truly inspire change.

is year has seen Faith Regen Foundation revitalise the commerical subsidary Faith Regen UK by rebranding it under the new name Innovate to Inspire (i2i), a name that we feel captures the philosophy of our organization well. To unleash the potential of all. With a new logo and website in place we look forward to the endeavours i2i will bring in the coming years. We have also seen the expansion of our international projects with FRF’s interna-tional wing Global One 2015 operating in Pakistan with an emergency response to the oods and working towards providing maternal health projects in Nigeria and Somalia.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Chair, Brian McAndrew, and the Board of Trustees for their sound guidance and love for this charity. I would also like to give special thanks to all our sta for their support and commitment in making FRF a successful and reputable organization.

“e Muslim World in the face of the New World Economic Order”

e World Muslim Leadership Forum was held on October 7th 2010 in London in partnership with the Malaysian organization ASLI (Asian Strat-egy and Leadership Institute).e Forum focused on the importance of leadership in the Muslim community with regard to developing poorer Muslim nations, the growing signicance of Islamic nance, and promoting dialogue between the West and the Muslim world. Joined by HRH Raja Nazrin, Crown Prince of Perak and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, HE Shaukat Aziz, the event brought government and business leaders, civil society, scholars and policy makers to exchange ideas and experiences. e event enabled delegates to discuss how Muslim nations and communities can work towards greater mutual recognition and collaboration with the West in order to benet the global economy. In addition to this, it also promoted a greater dialogue between Western governments and successful Muslim entrepreneurs, in discussing ways in which Muslim communities can assert themselves in the new World Economic Order.

FRF celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th, with a conference highlighting the struggles facing 21st century women in the developing world. With Global One 2015 developing a maternity project in Nigeria we were honoured to have education and gender specialist, Fatimah Kelleher and Global One’s Programme Manager Risto Harma talk on maternal health issues in the region.
