Dr.Reddy. as he is known within the Group as well as to business associates and friends, started his career working in Govt. departments as a senior position. This gave him the opportunity of building very good contacts with senior officers and officials. This also gave him the insight into department functioning and official procedures and practices

This was the genesis of the partner brand – The Classic Group.

He became a mentor of the Group due to his brilliant business acumen. The Group, due to his visionary nature, got into property development in a big way. D.M. Purnesh is a coffee planter hailing from Chikmagalur birthplace of coffee in India. He represents the third generation of a coffee growing family. Having been brought up in the plantations he has as in-built flair for management of people and systems. A B.Com graduate, he worked with reputed auditor as an intern and acquired commercial faculty. His early exposure to city life and corporate business made him eager to take wing and grow. That is the time he partnered with hid mentor, Dr. Reddy, to start a business as a first generation entrepreneur.

In the time to follow he tried his hand at many ventured and settled into the following core business:

His coffee legacy equipped him with much exposure to international trade. This also necessitated his frequent travel to varied coffee growing and consuming countries, entailing in building up of international contacts.

Having gained the knowledge of processing “Specialty Coffee”, he took the initiative of forming SCAI - Specialty Coffee Association of India. A body of reputed planters.

He is passionate about anything he gets involved in be it business or golf! With Quality as his mantra he strives to break new entrepreneurial group be taking calculated risks. A connoisseur of good music. wine and golf. He enjoys biographies of successful people across all fields and travels with an open mind to cultures and collaborations.

Born in the plantation family, I.N. Venkatesh Gowda is Bsc, LLB, owning a coffee plantation.

He is also a sole proprietor of a coffee curing work in Chikmagalur. His forte has been Marketing and Sales of leading Alcoholic Beverages of world class brands, international trading in coffee. He has travelled extensively, coffee growing and consuming countries in particular. He is an avid golfer.

We are also in the liquor distribution & retailing representing some of the world famous brands like Chivas Regal, Howling Wolves, Grover Vineards & Jacob’s Creek

About us This was set up in 1982, thus reaching three decades of successful launching and promoting many Quality alcoholic beverages (Alcobev) such as Seagrams, Grover to mention a few.

Thanks to its marketing skills and the well-trained Human resource by a Senior Marketing Consultant, Classic Alcobev has emerged as the leading Promoter & Distributor in Karnataka. A huge sales force covering all parts of Karnataka is its additional strength.

Dr.Venugopala Reddy, D.M.Purnesh and I.N.Venkatesh Gowda have been contributing continuously in bringing up this distribution SBU to this level.It had later diversified into a logical line namely Modern Trade Outlet chain under the brand of “Not Just Wine & Cheese” to retail Alcobev to discerning consumers.
