St. Paul’s Church Confirmation Anniversary Celebration & Church Picnic
Here we go again (and again). As we did in June, we will celebrate two more Confirmation Reunions this sum-mer. On the above dates the ENTIRE CONGREGATION with gather together for worship followed by a potluck lunch-eon along with games, activities and continual reminiscing following lunch.
Please plan to be a part of worship on July 21 & August 18 as the entire congregation joins together in a combined worship service at 10:30am. We will recognize those confirmed in the aforementioned years (Who will be the oldest confirmand present? Who will have traveled the furthest?)
All worship teams and choirs will participate in portions of the worship service, worshipping with a variety of God honoring music from over the years.
To coordinate food, please contact the church office or sign up in the lobby - noting your potluck dish to pass - if you plan on attending. If you wish to help in any way, please contact the church office.

July Extra Step Mission Emmaus Home—Marthasville
Throughout its 119 year history, many former and current members have spent their careers working to serve the folks that call Emmaus “home”. We have also partnered (financially and with volunteering) to provide residential ser-vices and supports to persons with developmental disabilities. Residents usually come to Emmaus to live when they no longer have family or for many reasons the family can no longer care for them. Today, Emmaus serves over 240 adults on two campuses. Most residents receive 24 hour support with their various needs. With your help, Emmaus will continue to be able to provide loving and compassionate care. Visit them on the web: www.emmaushomes.org

Have a Prayer Request? We have a ministry for that!
Use your “Getting Connected” card on
Sundays to let our Prayer Team
know you need them.
Page 5 July-August 2013
Prayer makes a difference!
There is a Prayer Service every Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary. Everyone is encouraged to attend whenever you are able. At this service the prayer needs of the congregation, community and nation are addressed. Prayer requests may be
submitted by using the Connection Cards, or email [email protected]. Be assured, each request is thoroughly covered in unified prayer. If the request is
confidential, please indicate such. Confidentiality is highly honored. The Prayer Team is also available to come to your home to pray if you desire.
There are many testimonies coming in of answered prayer and God interacting with His people. The Prayer Service is a time for you to sit in silent prayer and
meditation, to worship through music, to lift up concerns to the Lord, to gather with others of one accord, to receive personal prayer. Whatever you choose, it will be an opportunity to grow in your prayer walk. There are prayer resources availa-
ble for your personal growth as well, in the Prayer Room.
The Prayer Room is open following the services for prayer--quiet personal prayer, or prayer with a team member if you choose.
"The earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous
power available!" James 5:16 amp
PRAYER WATCH FOR THE MILITARY AND USA: will be held Tuesday, July 16th at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary. If you are a Veteran, are currently serving in the Armed Forces, have a family member serving, or a desire to support our men and women through prayer, plan to attend. (If you want, attend in uniform). This is an im-
portant opportunity to cover our men and women in service by prayer.
HEALING SERVICES are held monthly. The summer services will be July 30th and August 20th. Continue to submit your requests for healing via the Connection
Cards or email [email protected]. Join others as they come together to bring the needs of our church family to the Lord.
PRAYER WATCH FOR OUR YOUTH AND CHILDREN as they prepare for school, will be held in August. Watch the Calendar of Events as it approaches. There will also be an opportunity for every person to pray over one young person the first 30 days of school. Covering our kids with prayer makes a difference in their initial adjust-
ment, protection, and self-esteem. God cares about His kids!
PRAYER WALKING will once again start in August. We will prayer walk the streets of Marthasville in August, September, October. If you have a heart for those who
need Jesus in our community, plan to join us for a Prayer Walk. Watch for the dates.
COVERING OUR PASTOR IN PRAYER: Please continue to cover Pastor George daily
in prayer as he ministers to us in numerous ways. Pray for his protection, for his family, for God's vision, for wisdom, for time priorities. There will be an oppor-
tunity to commit to regular prayer for those who have a special interest in praying for our Pastor in the fall.
For more information on the Prayer Ministry or prayer, see Billie Kramme.
